Members of the Green Party of England and Wales approved an outrageous motion on Sunday during their party conference in Brighton, declaring that “Zionism is racism.” The move has ignited bitter controversy across the United Kingdom and intensified criticism over the party’s increasingly extreme posture toward Israel.

The resolution passed by a majority of 1,022 to 813, formally establishing an explicitly anti-Zionist line. According to the text of the decision, Zionism is defined as an “ethno-nationalist political project,” alongside a clause asserting that opposition to Zionism should not be conflated with antisemitism.
The approved text also incorporates calls to bolster the “‘Palestinian’ struggle,” endorses the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, demands an immediate comprehensive arms embargo against Israel, and calls for the establishment of a single “democratic” state across all of “historic ‘Palestine’”—amounting in practice to the dissolution of the Jewish state.

The resolution sparked internal friction within the party before the vote, with several senior figures voicing deep reservations about its inflammatory phrasing and diplomatic repercussions. Party Chairman Zack Polanski chose not to vote. At the same time, Green Member of Parliament Carla Denyer warned that the resolution threatened to undermine the party’s long-standing support for the mutual right to self-determination for both peoples.
Following the decision, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar issued a blistering condemnation, denouncing the vote as an extremist provocation that crosses the boundaries of legitimate democratic discourse and demonstrates overt hostility toward the Jewish state. In a public statement, Sa’ar declared that the UK Green Party “has ceased functioning as a legitimate political party and has transformed into a terror-supporting organization” that has embraced an “ideological doctrine advocating the elimination of the State of Israel through armed struggle.”
Sa’ar further noted that the resolution legitimizes armed warfare and effectively calls for Israel’s destruction via the creation of a ‘Palestinian’ state “from the river to the sea.” He characterized the resolution as a “text that crosses all acceptable lines of political debate” and constitutes “a dark stain on the history of the United Kingdom.”
The Israeli foreign minister called on mainstream British political parties—foremost among them the governing Labor Party—to issue an immediate and unequivocal repudiation of the Greens’ vote, warning that silence would be seen as granting legitimacy to the extremist platform endorsed at the Brighton conference.
Israel’s Political-Security Cabinet is scheduled to convene on Sunday evening to deliberate on a wide spectrum of national security challenges, prominently featuring the attempted hijacking aboard flydubai Flight FZ1073, operational developments across various combat theaters, and ongoing dynamics regarding Iran, as reported by Channel 14 diplomatic correspondent Tamir Morag.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will provide ministers with a diplomatic debrief on his brief visit to New York and the series of bilateral meetings he held with foreign leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Alongside the diplomatic review, ministers will receive comprehensive intelligence briefings spanning various active fronts, with a sharp focus on Iran, as well as operational developments in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
At the center of discussions will be the attempted suicide hijacking aboard the flydubai airliner bound for Tel Aviv. According to current operational intelligence, evidence suggests the suspect conceived and executed the plot alone as a self-radicalized lone actor, with no validated intelligence indicating he was directly tasked or directed by Iranian agencies. This assessment stands despite public remarks by US President Donald Trump, who referenced unverified reports regarding potential Iranian links to the suspect.

Morag noted that Israeli intelligence currently assesses the perpetrator underwent an ideological radicalization process that led him to execute the attack independently. Even as rhetoric tying the incident to Tehran circulates in the United States, Israeli defense officials maintain that such claims currently lack verified operational backing.
Significant ambiguity remains regarding the specific target the hijacker intended to strike. Analytical reconstructions indicate the suspect waited a substantial duration after departure before ambushing the Indian captain with a cockpit crash axe, likely calculating his move to coincide with the airliner’s closer approach toward Israeli airspace.

Over recent days, several hypotheses have been weighed regarding the intended crash site, including key strategic infrastructure inside Israel. Speculative targets raised in security discussions included the Azrieli Center towers in Tel Aviv, while alternative trajectories toward sites in Jerusalem or Jordan were also examined. As of now, the final operational target cannot be confirmed.
Defense officials familiar with Israeli Air Force capabilities assessed that had the airliner continued an uninhibited descent toward Israeli territory, the IAF possessed high operational readiness to execute an airborne interception in time. However, commanders acknowledged that ordering the shoot-down of a commercial airliner carrying roughly 170 passengers—the vast majority of whom were Israeli citizens—would have represented an agonizing, unprecedented command dilemma.

Morag underscored that the convening of the Security Cabinet does not necessarily signal an imminent strategic decision. The forum meets routinely, and throughout the war years, numerous sensitive operational decisions have been hammered out in narrower decision-making consultations; consequently, Sunday night’s session is primarily geared toward strategic synchronization, operational briefings, and an up-to-date intelligence assessment.
Selma Blair, a Jewish-American actress and author, recently revealed the professional and personal price she paid after criticizing Democratic Congresswomen Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib on social media roughly two years ago during Israel’s war against Hamas. The congresswomen had voted against legislation designed to bar anyone involved in the October 7 massacre from entering the United States.

At the time, Blair commented on a social media post: “Deport all these terrorist supporting goons. Islam has destroyed Muslim countries, and then they come here. May they meet their fate.” Shortly thereafter, her remark drew intense public backlash; although Blair issued an apology, the industry fallout had already taken hold. According to the actress, the controversy cost her long-standing friendships, lucrative corporate sponsorships, and contractual payments.
Delivering an impassioned speech at the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) “State of the Arts” event in New York, Blair recounted the immediate aftermath: “The brands I had worked with vanished in a single day. Multiple partnerships I’d spent years building were frozen. My agency vanished. My lawyer vanished. My publicist vanished. My book agent vanished. My book publicist vanished. My social media manager vanished. No one ever called me back.”

Blair stressed that the ordeal took a painful toll on her home life, forcing her young son to watch his mother navigate public fear following years of supporting her through chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants for multiple sclerosis: “He’s supposed to be embarrassed by me, not afraid for my safety. Careers can be rebuilt. Years of his childhood cannot.”
Without mentioning names explicitly, Blair turned her attention to anti-Israel actor Javier Bardem, who recently spearheaded an aggressive petition demanding UNICEF remove Jewish-American singer Pink from her role as goodwill ambassador after Pink spoke out against onstage anti-Israel rants.
“A movie star used his platform to advance a petition against an artist who has dedicated more than a decade to raising money for children,” Blair remarked. “Her crime was that she objected loudly when another performer lashed out at Israel on stage. This is what it looks like when we lose our humanity. A woman raising funds for children ceases to be human and becomes a target, while those cheering it on can no longer see her. They see only one side.”

Blair concluded her address with an unequivocal, resonant message: “Antisemitism has to stop. Not be managed, not be explained, not be weighed against something else. Just stop. Two years ago, my phone stopped ringing. Tonight, I am the one speaking in a room full of people and saying these words. I am a Jew. I am still here.” Blair formally announced that she is currently directing and producing an upcoming documentary feature titled “Hineni” (“Here I Am”), dedicated to confronting the surging tide of global antisemitism.
The Foreign Ministry’s appointments committee, chaired by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, approved a slate of senior diplomatic appointments on Sunday. The committee named new heads of mission to India, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sa’ar will bring the appointments to the Ministerial Committee on Foreign Service Appointments and the full cabinet for approval.

Sharon Bar-Li, currently deputy director general of the Africa Division and former ambassador to Ghana and deputy ambassador to the UK, was appointed ambassador to New Delhi and non-resident ambassador to Bhutan and Sri Lanka. Ronit Nudelman Perl, currently an envoy in the Europe Division who previously headed the Civic Diplomacy Department and served as consul in Boston, was named ambassador to Accra and non-resident ambassador to Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Kobi Shoshani, currently ambassador for Indian communities in the North America Division and former consul general in Mumbai and internal affairs director, was appointed resident ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo. The appointment follows Sa’ar’s decision to open an Israeli embassy in Kinshasa, alongside Congo’s move of its embassy to Jerusalem—making it the 11th country to maintain an embassy in Israel’s capital.
It is impossible to remain indifferent, and impossible not to be deeply moved. With each passing moment, as further harrowing details emerge regarding what transpired high in the skies, the sheer, unfathomable magnitude of the miracle becomes undeniable. What occurred aboard flydubai Flight FZ1073 was not merely another security incident that ended safely; it was an open miracle of pure, manifest Divine Providence.

Moments before catastrophic tragedy struck above the clouds—as a terrorist sought to plunge a passenger jet and murder everyone on board—the Hand of Heaven assembled a flawless human puzzle, assigning each passenger a precise, fateful mission to secure collective deliverance.
Witnessing the moral force of this event has shaken observers worldwide. When a miracle is so clear and indisputable, even international onlookers and foreign nations stand astonished and moved to their core. Around the world, global voices watching these events proclaim: the God of Israel lives, and He is the One shielding this nation. While aviation engineers rack their brains, trying to reconcile, through the laws of aerodynamics, how an airliner recovered from such a dive without structural failure, the broader world already recognizes that a Higher Power watched over every soul on board.

Contemplating this extraordinary convergence of resourcefulness, Jewish bravery, and overt Heavenly protection stirs the deepest recesses of the soul. It reaffirms what has been written of our people throughout history: “Behold, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.” No terrorist and no plot can ever vanquish a people championed by Heaven.
The IDF and the Shin Bet revealed last Friday, following an intensive and prolonged intelligence investigation, dramatic operational details regarding the activities of Izz al-Din Bik— a terrorist in Hamas’s Northern Gaza Brigade—who was eliminated in a precision Israeli airstrike. According to declassified intelligence, Bik directly commanded the captivity and concealment of numerous living and deceased Israeli hostages throughout the war, serving as an indispensable pillar within the terror group’s abduction apparatus.

Israeli defense officials defined the targeted strike as an essential closing of the circle. The roster of abducted Israelis commanded by Bik in northern Gaza includes Mia Schem, Hisham al-Sayed, the late Shani Louk, the late Amit Buskila, the late Uriel Baruch, the late Cpl. Nik Beizer, the late Sgt. Ron Sherman, the late Elia Toledano, the late Michel Nisenbaum, the late Staff Sgt. Tamir Nimrodi, the late Itzhak Gelerenter, the late Eitan Levy, the late Hanan Yablonka, the late Ron Benjamin, and the late Orión Hernández Radoux.
Before assuming command of the Northern Gaza Brigade during the fighting, Bik held an extensive roster of positions in the terror organization’s posts: he served as commander of the West Jabalia Battalion, chief of military intelligence for the Northern Brigade, and a primary architect who helped establish the lethal Nukhba force in the sector. On the morning of October 7, Bik personally directed assault companies and crossed the border to participate in the slaughter across southern Israeli communities—an operational involvement acknowledged this week by Hamas, which confirmed his death and actions.

The elimination of the senior terrorist is part of an ongoing, high-tempo wave of precision strikes executed by the IDF against Nukhba operatives across the Gaza Strip. Among those targeted was Muhammad Jamal Mahmoud Abu al-Sha’ar, a Hamas military wing terrorist eliminated in Gaza City after infiltrating Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7 and taking an active role in the abduction of the Haran, Avigdori, and Shoham family members. In Jabalia, Israeli aircraft struck and eliminated Musab Abd al-Jalil Sakheb Balbisi, a ‘Palestinian’ Islamic Jihad military commander who likewise stormed Israeli territory on October 7 and recently coordinated fresh terror schemes against IDF forces in violation of operational lines.
The targeted campaign extended into southern and central Gaza. In Khan Yunis, an airstrike eliminated Bilal Mahmoud Suleiman Samiri, an operative in Islamic Jihad’s rocketry apparatus who orchestrated ambushes against IDF units along the “Yellow Line.” Additionally, forces eliminated Muhammad Abd al-Aziz Muhammad Najjar, a Hamas operative who took part in the October 7 assault and was actively engaged in rehabilitating the organization’s combat infrastructure. Following his death, ‘Palestinian’ factions attempted to falsely portray Najjar as a “journalist” in an effort to obscure his military status.

Simultaneously in Gaza City, the IDF eliminated Ammar Mahmoud Humayd Sharafi, a Hamas platoon commander working to reconstitute operational fighting units. The IDF emphasized that all strikes were carried out using precision munitions and continuous aerial surveillance to minimize civilian harm, reaffirming that Israeli security agencies will reach every individual involved in the October 7 massacre and the holding of hostages.
Israel’s defense apparatus continues the systematic tracking and identification of every terrorist, officer, and operative tied to the cross-border assault and hostage-taking. The systematic elimination of brigade-level commanders, alongside Nukhba gunmen who breached kibbutzim and executed abductions, conveys an unambiguous warning: no matter how much time elapses, and despite Hamas’s attempts to rebuild its chain of command, the hourglass for every partner in the atrocities is running out.
A fire broke out Sunday in open terrain near Gush Etzion Junction. Firefighters and volunteers from the Judea regional station are working the scene across multiple sectors as the blaze spreads in the wind.
Due to challenging terrain and the fire’s proximity to major roads and buildings, two firefighting planes from the “Elad” squadron were scrambled to help contain the spread. Police from the Etzion station in the Judea district are deployed in the area and ready to assist with crowd control, keeping onlookers away, and managing traffic as needed.
Incident commander Reshef Michael Randy said the fire is spreading across open terrain in the wind, and that reinforced teams are working the scene. Following a situation assessment, he said, firefighting planes were dispatched due to the fire’s proximity to buildings.
UPDATE:
The fire has been contained by Israel’s Fire and Rescue.
Four firefighting aircraft and eight firefighting crews took part in the operation, including assistance from neighboring districts. Police from the Etzion station in the Judea district were also on scene to maintain order and direct traffic, along with engineering equipment from the Etzion Regional Brigade.
Following four years of unprecedented growth under Israel’s right-wing government, pioneering hilltop communities in Judea and Samaria are preparing for their next revolutionary leap. After decades of establishing tactical outposts through grassroots civilian initiatives, community leaders now demand formal state recognition, official development budgets, and legal regularization—including in Areas A and B and on disputed private lands. In an interview with Channel 14, leading activists explained how they could achieve this groundbreaking transition.

“We want to step up to the next level,” declared Shalhevet Goldstein from the Maoz Esther outpost, stressing that the ultimate goal is to build momentum so that “state institutions step in to provide complete backing and support for pioneering Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.” Yehuda Lieber, a father and resident of the Oz Zion hilltop, emphasized that authorities can no longer ignore the reality on the ground: “There are dozens of families living on these hills, raising children, building, and requiring basic infrastructure, educational frameworks, and local security. The only question is how quickly it will happen, and the sooner it does, the better it is for everyone.”
With upcoming elections on the horizon, community leaders plan to enlist elected officials through legislative bills, policy revisions, and statutory land regularizations. Activists note that they must use the current political window to secure firm commitments from as many Knesset factions and candidates as possible. “We hope to recruit as many lawmakers as possible who realize that this is the future,” Goldstein said.
Will Imagination Sign a Peace Agreement with Reality?
To advance this blueprint, hilltop leaders acknowledge the complex legal and diplomatic hurdles standing in their way—chief among them two structural issues. According to Goldstein: “There are currently two core jurisdictional problems regarding land status in Judea and Samaria: the first is the Oslo Accords, which artificially partitioned the land into Areas A, B, and C, and the second is the outdated registry of private land.” This legal reality means most of the territory is treated as non-Jewish land, leaving state authorities reluctant to retroactively authorize outposts through traditional channels.
Despite these hurdles, activists argue that the state must overhaul its doctrine and accommodate reality, particularly as several hilltops now house dozens of permanent families. Naftali Auerbach, a resident of Maoz Esther, outlined the rationale behind the escalation: “We demand that the state recognize and support pioneering presence on private lands and inside Areas A and B. My role is to challenge the system. I have pushed for regularization efforts that question state institutions directly: why oppose pioneering communities rather than back it?”

The Vision – Dismantling the Oslo Accords
Lieber pointed out the arbitrary disparity between fully authorized towns and pioneer outposts, highlighting the absurdity of ignoring communities not situated on formal state lands: “There are vast tracts of land in Judea and Samaria classified as ‘private ‘Palestinian’ land’ dating back to the Jordanian monarchy, yet in most cases there isn’t even an Arab claimant asserting ownership. Because Israel still honors that Jordanian partition, it refuses to treat these communities the same way it treats Jewish communities on recognized state lands.”
On a practical level, activists argue that the government and Knesset possess multiple tools to facilitate immediate regularization. Goldstein detailed several avenues: “Lawmakers can advance bills annulling the Oslo Accords, pass legislation establishing unique land registration frameworks for Judea and Samaria, or authorize the utilization of abandoned property.” Additional practical solutions include Central Command expropriation orders, comprehensive land re-registration, or officially classifying hilltop outposts as military security components inside Area B.

Beyond long-term statutory changes, activists stressed that immediate municipal and daily needs must be met right away. “Until final legal authorization is enacted, the state and municipal regional councils already have the tools to support us—whether through security equipment and budgets, or directives ensuring kindergartens, school transit, and waste disposal,” Goldstein noted, adding that this is entirely a matter of political will and budgeting.
The overarching goal, as Auerbach summarized, is “free, recognized, and planned communities across the entire homeland, fully supported by the authorities.” Ultimately, pioneer communities believe that the decades-old concept of settling alongside ‘Palestinian’ population centers rather than displacing them permanently shattered on Simchat Torah. Their mission now is to impart that realization to the state leadership. “We continually emphasize that we are not working against the state, but pushing the state to change its doctrine,” Auerbach concluded. “Without people pushing from the ground, that policy will never change.”
Ahead of the anniversary of the October 7 attacks, heightened security tensions across Judea and Samaria translated on the ground into extraordinary, synchronized counter-terrorism raids. Overnight between Saturday and Sunday, Israeli security forces raided at least 14 villages and towns spanning every regional brigade, detaining dozens of wanted suspects and intercepting active terror cells in real time.

The massive operational footprint demonstrates that Central Command is operating under a clear assessment that ‘Palestinian’ terror groups are seeking to exploit the symbolic anniversary to orchestrate high-profile spectacle attacks. To thwart this threat, the Samaria Brigade and territorial divisions have adopted an aggressive, continuous preemptive posture deep within hostile operational terrain.
During the overnight sweeps, troops operated across multiple Flashpoints in Judea and Samaria. In the Jenin sector, operations focused on the villages of Fahma and Arraba—where terrorist Rajah Jaber was apprehended—alongside offensive searches and suspect interrogations in Al-Yamun. In the Shechem sector, troops secured a critical operational victory near Arana, apprehending an active terror cell that was in advanced preparation stages for an imminent attack.

Additionally, in Burqa, dozens of suspects were questioned and detained on suspicion of hurling Molotov cocktails toward a nearby Israeli farm, while targeted sweeps were conducted in Asira al-Qibliya. In Awarta, security forces secured entry to the tombs of Eleazar, Ithamar, and the 70 Elders for Hakafot Sheniyot celebrations, successfully repelling local terror disruption attempts. In the Ramallah sector, an armed exchange of gunfire erupted in Silwad after terrorists opened fire on Israeli forces, who returned precise fire toward the assailants; targeted arrest raids were also conducted in Al-Mughayyir. Concurrently, in Jannatah in the Bethlehem sector, security personnel confiscated an operational vehicle and detained terror facilitators. Forces operated through the night in Ras Atiya near Qalqilya. At the same time, forces set up cordons and carried out arrests in the Aqabat Jaber camp in Jericho and the Qalandiya camp north of Jerusalem. In Hebron, forces breached the residence of a high-priority suspect and took him into custody.
The massive concentration of combat assets and synchronized arrest sweeps reflect an operational shift within Central Command: severing the operational chain of attacks during the conceptualization and logistical stages. Rather than waiting for reactive tactical alerts, Israeli troops are projecting full operational freedom deep into local villages to safeguard civilian security.

According to the investigation, he established online contact with a hostile operative and then carried out various missions under his direct guidance.Security officials emphasized that this represents yet another case in an ongoing campaign by Iranian intelligence to recruit Israeli citizens online to promote subversive and hostile activities targeting the State of Israel.
The counter-espionage probe was conducted jointly by the Israel Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), which built a comprehensive evidentiary case against the suspect. The Haifa District Attorney’s Office filed an indictment against Khalaf with the Haifa District Court, charging him with severe offenses against state security, centered on contact with a foreign agent.
