According to the investigation, he established online contact with a hostile operative and then carried out variou

s missions under his direct guidance.

Security officials emphasized that this represents yet another case in an ongoing campaign by Iranian intelligence to recruit Israeli citizens online to promote subversive and hostile activities targeting the State of Israel.

The counter-espionage probe was conducted jointly by the Israel Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), which built a comprehensive evidentiary case against the suspect.

The Haifa District Attorney’s Office filed an indictment against Khalaf with the Haifa District Court, charging him with severe offenses against state security, centered on contact with a foreign agent.
