Lebanon Mocks Hezbollah After Ali Taher Ridge Falls

For months, Hezbollah warned that the Ali Taher ridge represented an uncrossable “red line.” Yet on Thursday night, the IDF systematically demolished the extensive underground bunker and tunnel complex carved into the ridgeline. Now, leaked audio recordings attributed to Hezbollah’s tactical communications network allegedly capture the desperate final moments of the fighting, triggering widespread derision and fury across Lebanon.

Following months of relentless operational activity by Israeli defense forces, Israel razed Hezbollah’s subterranean infrastructure along Ali Taher on Thursday night. The underground network, extending for more than two kilometers, directly overlooked Metula and posed a constant threat to northern Israeli border communities.

IDF Spokesperson Effie Defrin characterized the operation on the ridge as an exceptional military achievement. Beyond the tactical victory, the fall of Ali Taher highlights the ever-widening chasm that has emerged in recent months between Hezbollah’s fiery rhetoric and the reality on the ground.

For months, Hezbollah figures insisted that any Israeli attempt to approach the ridge would trigger an overwhelming response. “The decision is made: any attempt to approach Ali Taher will be met by the Resistance,” declared Hussein Mortada, a journalist closely affiliated with the group, during a broadcast last month.

Senior Hezbollah official and Lebanese parliamentarian Hassan Fadlallah similarly asserted in June that the terror group alone would dictate the fate of the high ground: “What we agree to will happen,” he said. “And as for what we do not agree to: even if the entire world unites against us, they will accomplish nothing—at Ali Taher, Beaufort, or throughout the territory south of the Litani.”

Yet on the ground, the ridge was captured and neutralized. The contrast between Hezbollah’s brazen pronouncements and its operational defeat turned into fuel for ridicule and outrage across Lebanese social media over the weekend.

Compounding the embarrassment, leaked radio transmissions purportedly from Hezbollah fighters in their final moments on the ridge circulated online. In one clip, an operative can be heard issuing a bitter lament: “Your brother is fighting alone, after being completely abandoned.” In another recording, a voice despairs: “Two months—for two months you have made a mockery out of us. Woe to you from Allah. The situation is extremely dire.” The fighter continues to cry out over the radio, emphasizing that no help ever arrived: “Nobody came! Nobody came! Where are the reinforcements?”

The intercepted transmissions were also broadcast on the Al Arabiya network, plunging Hezbollah into further public humiliation. A Lebanese political analyst noted that the operatives inside the tunnels clearly felt discarded. He added that Iran, which had purportedly threatened to intervene directly should Ali Taher fall, took no action and has no intention of doing so.

Simultaneously, voices inside Lebanon are increasingly holding Hezbollah directly accountable for the country’s compounding ruin. In Beirut, a memorial ceremony was held yesterday for Bashir Gemayel, who cooperated with Israel and was assassinated shortly after being elected president of Lebanon. The gathering doubled as a visible display of strength by domestic opponents of Hezbollah, featuring public calls for peace between Lebanon and Israel.

Hezbollah has sustained punishing blows over the past two years, both militarily and reputationally, allowing internal rivals to reemerge. However, analysts caution against premature eulogizing. Hamas was likewise widely viewed as deterred until October 7. Hezbollah is expected to pursue rehabilitation, rebuild its depleted capabilities, and seek to re-establish its threat posture against Israel.

Netanyahu to Fly to UN General Assembly in NYC Next Week

The Prime Minister’s Office announced on Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to fly to New York next week to address the United Nations General Assembly, with the official visit slated for September 23 to 25. The high-profile trip is drawing significant international scrutiny due to an ongoing public feud with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who previously called for Netanyahu’s arrest based on an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant. The visit comes just weeks before Israeli general elections, against the backdrop of escalating regional hostilities and the broader campaign against Iran.

One of the most sensitive friction points surrounding the visit will unfold outside UN headquarters, directly within the host city. Over recent months, Mayor Mamdani has staked out a combative posture against Netanyahu, asserting that the Israeli prime minister should be apprehended under the ICC’s outstanding warrant. Mamdani later acknowledged that a New York City mayor lacks sovereign jurisdictional authority to carry out such a detention, appealing instead to the federal administration to intervene. Neither the United States nor Israel is a signatory to the Rome Statute and rejects the court’s jurisdiction in this matter.

Netanyahu made clear that municipal threats will not alter his travel plans. Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon confirmed in recent days that the prime minister intends to carry out a focused, brief visit and deliver his speech despite the fraught local atmosphere. Mamdani previously called on New Yorkers to take to the streets and protest during Netanyahu’s presence in the city. The tension between the two leaders has grown increasingly personal: Netanyahu accused Mamdani of “stoking hatred,” while the mayor continued to launch fierce denunciations of the prime minister and Israeli operations.

The political calendar adds weight to the upcoming appearance. Netanyahu will take the UN podium while Israel is deeply entrenched in an intense election campaign ahead of the October 27 ballot. In recent weeks, the prime minister has focused on consolidating the political right to prevent fragmented factions from falling below the electoral threshold. According to Reuters, the upcoming contest marks one of the most critical political tests of his tenure, centering on the cohesion of the right-wing bloc and his capacity to secure a governing majority in the incoming Knesset.

Consequently, the address in New York functions as far more than a standard diplomatic stop. Netanyahu will command a premier global stage weeks before Israeli voters head to the polls, with national defense and foreign affairs at the center of the campaign discourse.

Hovering over the entire mission is the confronting dynamic with Iran. Frictions between Tehran and the West remain acute, with disputes surrounding the Iranian nuclear program flaring up once more. The United States recently blocked Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, from attending the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conference in Vienna, prompting harsh condemnation from Tehran.

Concurrently, the IAEA continues to face significant access restrictions in inspecting Iranian nuclear facilities, while Western governments voice deepening alarm regarding Tehran’s enriched uranium stockpiles. Netanyahu himself escalated his public messaging toward the Iranian regime earlier this month, declaring it weaker than ever and locked in a battle for its own survival. Netanyahu’s appearances before the UN General Assembly have long been a signature diplomatic maneuver. Time and again, he has utilized the podium to warn against Iranian nuclear ambitions, confront institutional bias against Israel in multinational forums, and articulate his broader national security doctrine.

Given the high-stakes backdrop, the warnings Netanyahu delivers in New York will not only be directed at world leaders and diplomats gathered in the hall; with weeks to go until polling day, domestic Israeli voters will also form a central target audience for the address.

Macklemore Blames Robert Kraft for Ed Sheeran Ouster

Rapper Macklemore claimed on Monday that Jewish NFL owner Robert Kraft exerted pressure on pop star Ed Sheeran to drop him from their nationwide joint tour. Macklemore, notorious for a string of aggressive anti-Israel and pro-‘Palestinian’ stunts, issued an erratic statement casting himself as the victim of a supposed “global conspiracy” orchestrated to silence detractors of Israel.

According to Macklemore’s posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Sheeran said Kraft called him directly and warned that the tour would be barred from performing at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, owned by the Kraft Group. Macklemore further alleged that Kraft rallied fellow stadium operators to present Sheeran with a coordinated ultimatum. If Macklemore remained on the lineup, Sheeran would be prohibited from taking the stage at their respective venues.

The decision to kick the rapper off the tour—which was scheduled to include eight additional dates across the United States—came after Macklemore wrapped a keffiyeh around his head and declared during a prior opening performance: “I wanted to stand here on stages across America and say two words close to my heart: Free Palestine.”

    Video: social media

Video documentation circulating online showed that during the same set, Macklemore projected images onto concert screens describing events in Gaza as a “Holocaust”—just weeks after he made headlines at an appearance in Seattle by chanting “F*** America.”

Days after the controversial performance, Sheeran’s management team officially confirmed that Macklemore had been removed from the remaining tour stops, noting that multiple major stadiums refused to host the shows if the opening act remained on the bill.

Netanyahu Sends Out Warning After ‘Huge’ Hezbollah Victory

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video today (Monday) featuring remarks by a Lebanese correspondent from MTV, who said footage released by the IDF showing the destruction of the ridge signaled the end of Hezbollah’s terror project on the mountain.

Netanyahu then paused the clip and explained why he believed the Lebanese correspondent had reached that conclusion. “He said this because we achieved another huge victory over Hezbollah. We destroyed its major terror stronghold on the Beaufort Ridge and the Ali Taher Ridge,” Netanyahu said.

The prime minister added: “Our policy is clear: We will continue destroying terror infrastructure in the security zone in Lebanon. We will continue removing every threat to the State of Israel. And from here, I say to our enemies: ‘If you haven’t learned the lesson by now and decide to attack us again—you will suffer even heavier blows. There is still work to be completed, and with God’s help, we will complete it.’”

The operation was part of “Return to Nature,” an investigation being conducted by the Central District Border Police investigative unit into suspected illegal possession of protected wildlife. Forces raided the compound and conducted a search, during which the animals were found. Nature and Parks Authority rangers performed the professional procedures required to sedate and capture the animals, which were transferred for further treatment by the authority. The arrested suspect was taken for further questioning at the Central District Border Police investigative unit.

  • Israeli Imposes Fines Over Illegal Arab Water Drilling

Israeli Imposes Fines Over Illegal Arab Water Drilling

The Civil Administration announced on Monday that it has significantly expanded its enforcement measures in the ongoing campaign against pirate water drilling and severe disruptions to the regional water economy. In a precedent-setting regulatory move applied for the first time in Judea and Samaria, authorities exercised administrative powers to impose heavy financial penalties on offenders. The water sector is the first field where this new administrative framework has been deployed, aimed at establishing tangible deterrence and curtailing systematic water theft.

The targeted operation took place in the Jenin area, where enforcement teams intercepted two trucks actively conducting illegal water drilling operations on-site. In the first instance, authorities levied an administrative fine of NIS 120,000 against the operators of the primary drilling truck. In contrast, the Civil Administration imposed a NIS 80,000 fine on the operators of the second vehicle. In total, fines reached NIS 200,000. Under administrative procedure, both trucks remain impounded by the Civil Administration pending payment of the penalties; failure to pay will prompt legal proceedings to forfeit them permanently.

The Water Authority’s inspection and enforcement teams, authorized by the Civil Administration’s Water Administration, will operate throughout Judea and Samaria starting in June 2026. The teams were empowered to dramatically bolster the Civil Administration’s enforcement, monitor and protect critical water resources and national assets, and suppress pirate tapping operations. The measure is another pillar of an overarching strategy to build strong deterrence against illicit operations damaging shared natural reserves.

Officials in the Civil Administration clarified that, through the Water Staff Officer and in close coordination with relevant law enforcement bodies, they continue to evaluate and develop additional administrative mechanisms to ensure faster and more effective enforcement. Civil Administration officials anticipate utilizing these expanded authorities further in the coming period as part of the relentless campaign against illicit drilling. Authorities underscored that they will continue to act resolutely against any illegal activity threatening the water infrastructure, utilizing every statutory tool at their disposal.

  • IDF Arrests Senior Fatah Terrorist in Tulkarm Raid

IDF Arrests Senior Fatah Terrorist in Tulkarm Raid

Duvdevan Unit forces arrested a senior Fatah terrorist in a targeted raid in Tulkarm on Monday. According to intelligence, the suspect was involved in advancing terrorist activity, planning and executing attacks, and trafficking weapons. The arrest comes amid a series of operations by Israeli forces in recent weeks against terror infrastructure in northern Samaria and the Menashe sector.

Israeli forces entered Tulkarm as part of a focused operation and arrested the wanted terrorist, who serves as a senior operative in the Fatah terror organization. According to information provided, he was involved in advancing terrorist activity, planning and executing attacks, and trafficking weapons. The arrest joins a series of targeted operations recently carried out by special units and Israeli forces against cells and wanted individuals in the northern Samaria sector.

Just last week, Israeli forces in Samaria thwarted a terror cell of ten operatives identified with Hamas. The operation involved fighters from YAMAM, the Duvdevan Unit, and forces from the 890th and 50th battalions. All ten cell members were arrested, and weapons were found in their possession, including an M16 rifle and materials used to manufacture explosive devices. Alongside these, an especially unusual find for Judea and Samaria was also seized—a rocket.

The operation was launched after operational conditions matured, following an intelligence warning and after a Shin Bet intelligence investigation that lasted several months. During the operation, after one of the terrorists was interrogated in the field, he led forces to a field near the village. There he dug near one of the trees and pulled out a bag containing explosives used to manufacture bombs as well as a disassembled M16 rifle. Sappers destroyed the explosives on site and the weapon was confiscated.

The rocket seizure has additional significance against the backdrop of attempts exposed in recent years to develop high-trajectory firing capabilities from Judea and Samaria. In September 2025, the Shin Bet, IDF, and YAMAM exposed a cell in the Ramallah area engaged in manufacturing rockets and even attempted to launch an improvised rocket from the village of Ni’ma in the Binyamin region. In October of that year, 14 additional rockets were found, some of which were ready for launch.

The Tulkarm operation also comes after the thwarting of another terror cell in Jenin. In a targeted nighttime operation, YAMAM fighters arrested three terrorists who were suspected of planning to carry out a major attack in northern Samaria in the immediate timeframe.

According to information provided at the time, the three terrorists were described as members of a trained cell. Following intelligence received by the Shin Bet, YAMAM fighters were rushed to the Jenin area, completed a rapid combat procedure, and launched the arrest operation. The fighters raided the building where the suspects were hiding, broke into it, and arrested all three before they could arm themselves. They were then transferred for continued Shin Bet interrogation.

The IDF said following that operation: “Tonight, YAMAM fighters—Israel’s National Counter-Terrorism Unit, operated with precise intelligence guidance from the Shin Bet and under the leadership of the Menashe Brigade to arrest suspects in terrorist activity in Jenin who were suspected of planning to carry out an attack in the immediate timeframe. A force of YAMAM fighters arrived at the building where the suspects were hiding, broke into the building, and arrested the three suspects. The suspects were transferred for continued interrogation by the Shin Bet.”

According to another publication from that incident, authorities were investigating suspicions that the cell intended to assassinate Defense Minister Israel Katz during a dedication ceremony for the Ganim community in northern Samaria, which was attended by other senior Israeli officials. Alongside this, the possibility was also examined that the terrorists planned to raid the new community and carry out a massacre there.

Iran Blames Nuclear Negotiators for Hezbollah’s Defeat

After the Revolutionary Guards responded for the first time to the IDF’s successful operation, Iran International reported Monday that Hezbollah’s defeat at Ali Taher has quickly become a domestic political weapon in Iran. Iranian figures have blamed the negotiators of the memorandum of understanding with the U.S., signed in June in Pakistan, for failing to protect Hezbollah’s Lebanese front.

According to the report, the figures claimed that provisions in the agreement undermined Iran’s ability to respond in the Lebanese arena, without clarifying which provisions they meant. This comes despite the memorandum of understanding stipulating on paper that attacks between the various parties would cease in all arenas—including Lebanon.

Among the main provisions in the “14-point” plan are demands such as:

    • Immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping.
    • The United States will begin lifting its naval blockade on Iranian ports.
    • Freezing of new American sanctions and holding discussions on broader sanctions relief—contingent on Iranian compliance.

Nearly three months after its signing, it’s safe to say that none of these provisions have stood the test of time.

  • Norway Law: 3 Years in Prison for Trading in Israeli Lands

Norway Law: 3 Years in Prison for Trading in Israeli Lands

European pressure against Israel is escalating: Norway is advancing an unprecedented bill that would subject individuals or companies trading with Judea and Samaria to up to three years in prison.

According to Norwegian broadcaster NRK, the proposal was drafted by the Foreign Ministry in Oslo, claiming it’s designed to address what the Norwegian government defines as “escalating violence by settlers” in Judea and Samaria.

If approved, the proposal would make trade with Israeli communities a criminal offense that could lead to significant prison time. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide estimated the law could pass in parliament as early as this fall.

“The arguments have only strengthened, because the situation in the ‘West Bank’ has deteriorated even further,” Eide told NRK. He said the fact that other Western countries are advancing measures against Israel strengthens his government’s position.

The Norwegian foreign minister also addressed the U.S. position, saying he was surprised the Trump administration hasn’t acted to stop Western initiatives on the issue: “If the big countries don’t stand by international law and human rights, then we, the other countries, will have to do it.”

Culture Minister Says Will Strip NAZA Makers of Citizenship

Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar announced Sunday evening that he will work to revoke the Israeli citizenship of “NAZA” filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, following the film’s special jury prize win at the Venice Film Festival and what he called a “blood libel” it presents against Israeli soldiers and the State of Israel. The prize was confirmed Saturday night during the festival’s closing ceremony.

“The victory of the despicable film ‘NAZA’ at the Venice Film Festival is shocking,” Zohar said. “The burning self-hatred of creators willing to harm their homeland to receive applause from antisemites around the world is incomprehensible and constitutes treason against the state.” The minister added: “This is exactly why I led the important cinema reform—so that Israeli citizens will no longer pay out of their pockets for attacks on IDF soldiers and the State of Israel.” He concluded: “As culture minister, I will act immediately to revoke the Israeli citizenship of these vile creators for treason against the state.”

“NAZA is an 80-minute documentary based on interviews with 24 Israelis who allegedly served in the IDF and intelligence services. The interviewees’ identities are concealed, and through their testimonies Abraham and Szor seek to portray the activities of Israeli forces in Gaza as a system responsible for deliberate and widespread harm to Gaza residents. This isn’t just interpretation from reviews of the film: in the Venice Film Festival’s official synopsis itself, it’s claimed that the film exposes the systems behind what is termed there “the calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza” by Israel.

The blood libel against IDF soldiers received an exceptional embrace in Venice: the film won the special jury prize, and at its premiere the audience stood and applauded for about 25 minutes, with PLO flags waved during the ovation. The IDF rejected the claims made in the film “entirely,” clarified that the identity and roles of the anonymous interviewees cannot be verified, and stated that decisions regarding the selection and approval of strikes are made by human beings and that technological systems serve only as auxiliary tools.
