Trump’s Base: No ‘Palestinian’ State, Yes Sovereignty

At a gathering of senior American lawmakers, the political base of President Trump, Republican senators, congressmen and senior officials took the stage one after another with a clear position: opposition to a ‘Palestinian’ state, support for more Jewish community building, and advancing legislation that would change even the language America uses to describe Israel’s heartland.

The power breakfast was hosted in honor of Dagan and his push for Israeli sovereignty over its biblical heartland, by Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, and Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator James Lankford, U.S. Representative Claudia Tenney, U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman, U.S. Rep. Josh Brecheen and U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt and well-attended by GOP lawmakers. Dagan outlined a sweeping vision of sovereignty, security, and rebuilding, anchored in shared values.

U.S. lawmakers: “Judea and Samaria has to be part of Israeli sovereignty”

The lawmakers were unambiguous in their opposition to a ‘Palestinian’ state, even as discussions about a two-state framework rear their heads in Washington diplomatic circles.

Senator James Lankford said unequivocally, “It shouldn’t be difficult to be able to talk about sovereignty and the ability for individuals and families to be able to choose anywhere they choose to be able to live, for the government of Israel….to be able to make decisions, it’s obvious.”

‘Two states has failed’ – Israeli sovereignty is the only alternative

“The effort for a two-state solution has been tried and it has failed,” said Rep. Stutzman. “Judea and Samaria has to be part of Israeli sovereignty. I think that’s a critical decision that needs to be made.”

Asked directly whether he agreed with elements within the Trump administration reportedly pressing for ‘Palestinian’ statehood, Stutzman was equally direct. “I don’t think it’s a good idea,” he said. “From my position, and many of the members of Congress I speak with, they think there should be one government in Israel, not a two-state solution. Because after October 7, it just can’t work.”

    October 7 as inflection point

For both the governor and the U.S. lawmakers, the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre was the defining reference point, the moment that, in their framing, collapsed the rationale for ‘Palestinian’ statehood once and for all.

Lankford said, “What they’ve faced from Gaza and from the threats of terrorism, that we’ve got to be able to live free. And to be able to live free of fear, and to be able to live in our homes in our homeland.”

Representative Breechen added, “Post-October 7 has discovered very well that you can’t harbor a terrorist in the garage next to your home. The Oslo Accords have been a failure.” He added that the biblical boundaries of Israel represent “an everlasting covenant,” clarifying that he was referring to areas A, B, and C under Oslo.

Rep. Josh Brecheen, Fmr. Rep. Tony Perkins, and Samaria Gov. Yossi Dagan

Dagan drew a direct line from the 2005 Gaza evacuation to the October 7 attacks, arguing that the withdrawal created the conditions for Hamas to govern and ultimately to strike – men, women and children. “Directly because of this [the Disengagement], directly, we got October 7,” he said.

He also framed the threat to both America and Israel, “For Hamas, for Fatah, from their base in Tehran and Ramallah, we Israelis are just the small Satan. You Americans are the big Satan. We are just the appetizer. You are the steak. We are fighting together.”

Channel 14’s Chief U.S. Correspondent, Libby Alon, said, “Against the backdrop of political uncertainty in Israel, heartland leadership understands that the battle is no longer being fought only on the hills of Samaria or in the corridors of the Knesset. It is also being fought in the legislative chambers of the United States.

While the world continues to talk about a ‘Palestinian’ state, the American conservative camp is already drafting the alternative: not withdrawal, but a firm hold over all parts of the Land of Israel.”

    Shared values, shared stakes

The event underscored what organizers said was a deepening alignment between evangelical and conservative American lawmakers and the Jewish leadership in Judea and Samaria, rooted in biblical geography and a shared reading of the region’s strategic stakes.

Senator Lankford recalled visiting communities in Judea and Samaria more than a decade before the region drew wider diplomatic attention, describing the connection as one of “family, faith, and the future.”

“There are families living there, there are people living there,” Lankford said. “There’s history and connection there that has been there not for years, for millennia.”

Perkins said, “The best way that we can silence the voices of antisemitism, even in our own ranks, is to be vocal about our support for the Jewish people and the Jewish state of Israel. Doesn’t mean we support everything their government does – but I support their right to be in that land, to defend that land, and to own that land. And I, for one, am willing to die for that purpose – politically or whatever – to make sure they have that. If the Republican party ever abandons that issue, we will become a party that will soon be forgotten.”

  • Israel to Lift Most Restrictions After Iran Strike

Israel to Lift Most Restrictions After Iran Strike

After a day that included Israeli attacks on Beirut and Iran, along with Iranian fire at the north and Samaria, the defense establishment recommends lifting most of the Home Front Command restrictions. According to the indications, starting at 06:00 AM, all restrictions will be lifted throughout the country, except in communities on the confrontation line.

The Home Front Command stated that “until tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 6:00, the current defense policy will remain unchanged. From 6:00 AM until Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 8:00 PM, the defense policy will change and be updated subject to a situation assessment.”

According to the Home Front Command, while all regions of the country will move to a full activity level without restrictions, this is what is expected in the confrontation line guideline area and the communities of Safsofeh, Meron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yohai, Yesod Hama’aleh, Kasra-Sami’a, Beit Jan and Sde Eliezer – will move to a partial activity level that includes the following guidelines:

Educational activities – can be held in a building or in a place from which a standard protected space can be reached during the defense.

Workplaces – can be held in a building or in a place from which a standard protected space can be reached during the defense.

Gatherings and services – in an open area up to 100 people and in a building up to 400 people.

Earlier today (Monday), Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz addressed the temporary campaign against Iran for the first time. “Iran and Hezbollah are weaker than ever, and we are stronger than ever – but our struggle with them is not over yet,” Netanyahu said. “In the last 24 hours, Iran and Hezbollah have tried to impose a new equation on us. And this equation is intolerable and unacceptable in my opinion.”

The Prime Minister added: “They thought they had fired from Lebanese and Iranian territory at Israel – and that we would not act. That did not happen, and it will not happen. Not on my watch.” Netanyahu conveyed a message to Trump: “As I have done for decades, I firmly stand by our right to act against our enemies. That is how we have acted now as well.”

“After Hezbollah fired into Israeli territory, I ordered the IDF to attack terrorist targets in Beirut, and to eliminate Hezbollah operatives there. We did so. After Iran attacked Israel, I instructed the IDF to attack military and economic targets throughout Iran. We did that too.”

The Prime Minister referred to the renewal of the ceasefire and said: “At the moment the fire is contained, because after we prepared the terrorist regime in Tehran, it stopped attacking us. If the terrorist regime in Iran makes the mistake and attacks us again, we will respond forcefully. Israel has a full right to self-defense and we exercise it to the extent necessary.” Defense Minister Israel Katz also addressed the campaign. “The law of Dahieh in Beirut is the same as the law of the northern communities,” he said. According to him, “Any attack on the northern communities will lead to an attack on Dahieh. The IDF will continue to operate in Lebanon against the terrorist organization Hezbollah.” Katz clarified: “We reject Iran’s threats outright. Any Iranian attempt to link Lebanon and Iran and to attack Israel will be met with great force, as happened yesterday.”

  • Israel to Cancel External Matriculation Exams

Israel to Cancel External Matriculation Exams

The Ministry of Education is expected to cancel all external matriculation exams scheduled for next week across the country, due to the security situation. According to the apparent decision, high school students will not be required to take the matriculation exams in various subjects, including biology, physics, English, and civics.

Instead of external exams, students’ internal grades, known as “protective grades” and based on their achievements throughout the year, including tests, assignments, and participation, will be considered their final matriculation grade. The decision means that no alternative dates will be set for the canceled exams and no special completion plan will be formulated.

However, students who are interested will be able to take the matriculation exam in the relevant subject in the future to improve their score. For most students, the decision is expected to complete the matriculation eligibility process based on the grades already assigned to them within the school framework.

  • Israel Went Solo in Major Iran Strike

Israel Went Solo in Major Iran Strike

A series of official details released today (Monday) reveals the precise scope of the combined missile attack Israel absorbed from Iran and Yemen, alongside the results of two intense strike waves the Air Force carried out deep in terror territory. The picture that emerges is one of a carefully planned and timed campaign. Israel made clear this morning that the country is facing days of battle and sustained combat, and presented evidence of the collapse of Tehran’s defense systems. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that “Israel and Iran should stop firing immediately.”

The dual-front threat map that operated simultaneously against Israel includes Iran and the Houthis. Israelis experienced multiple barrages in the past 24 hours: a total of 22 missiles were detected and fired from Iranian territory toward Israeli civilians. The Houthi proxy operating under Tehran’s terror sponsorship fired two missiles at Israeli civilians. Air defense systems intercepted one missile, and the second fell during flight before crossing into Israeli territory.

Against the backdrop of denials from Tehran’s spokesmen, the IDF reveals that the Israeli Air Force operated alone in Middle Eastern skies without an active coalition during the bombing phase: “Only we attacked. That said, we are operating with the Chief of Staff and senior military officials fully coordinated with the Americans—both on the offensive and defensive fronts.”

The military operation deep inside Iran, commanded by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and senior Air Force officials from “the Pit” at the Kirya, was divided in a planned manner into two separate and intense strike waves, designed first to neutralize the regime’s response capability and then to hit strategic assets:

The first strike wave carried out overnight focused on achieving absolute air superiority in the country’s skies. Fighter jets fired precise long-range munitions and destroyed in a targeted manner nine Iranian air defense systems in the west and center of the country, a move that opened a free and safe flight corridor for the continuation of the operation.

After neutralizing the detection and interception systems, the second wave was launched, aimed at the regime’s terror infrastructure and economic targets. In this wave, the petrochemical plant in Mahshahr in southwestern Iran was attacked and bombed, with the Air Force recording precise hits that destroyed three central buildings inside the plant complex.

The military makes clear that the mutual blows are not a one-time event that ended with the fighter jets landing at their bases, and the army is preparing in an elevated manner for several days of continuous combat against Iran and its proxies in the region.

Behind the scenes of the operational activity, the defense establishment explains that the attacks in Iran are a direct continuation of Operation Roaring Lion and not the beginning of a new campaign. Comprehensive headquarters work and a range of operational options that were examined in advance allowed for a high level of alert that has been maintained since the beginning of April, and the scenario that materialized tonight was one of the prepared scenarios.

The IDF estimates that while Tehran is trying to present its actions as defending its proxies, in reality, it is the one who violated the ceasefire that lasted about two months by firing directly at Israel. Now, the main target that has been marked is serious damage to the Iranian regime and its capabilities while trying to create a distinction between the arenas, while the army already has follow-up plans and additional target banks.

On the international level, full coordination with the United States and the American Central Command is closer than was announced: the Chief of Staff has spoken with the CENTCOM commander three times since yesterday (Sunday), and American military officials were not surprised by the activity carried out on the ground, with the United States assisting exclusively in the defensive effort, but the attacks themselves are solely Israeli.

  • Ben Gurion Airport to Operate Without Restrictions

Ben Gurion Airport to Operate Without Restrictions

After a series of discussions and security assessments held throughout the day by officials from the Israel Airports Authority, the Transportation Ministry, and the Home Front Command, authorities decided not to impose any limits on the number of passengers passing through Ben Gurion Airport. The decision came against the backdrop of the security escalation and a fresh review of aviation activity in Israel.

During the discussions, officials examined several alternatives, including the possibility of reducing the scope of operations at Ben Gurion and limiting the number of passengers in the airport terminals. Ultimately, they decided not to impose new restrictions and to allow operations to continue according to the security situation and Home Front Command guidelines.

Earlier, authorities also decided not to close Israeli airspace, despite the security tensions. Officials involved in the details said that all relevant agencies continue to hold ongoing security assessments and that guidelines may change according to developments.

For now, flights at the airport continue to operate normally, with authorities emphasizing that they are continuously monitoring the situation and are prepared to make adjustments if necessary.

IDF Forces Destroyed Strategic Defense Systems in Iran

Dozens of Air Force fighter jets, under the intelligence guidance of the Military Intelligence Directorate, completed a extensive strike against strategic defense systems of the Iranian terror regime. The systems were recently deployed to restore the detection and defense capabilities that were damaged in Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’. The strike led to the destruction of the systems and the deepening of our forces’ freedom of action in the skies of Iran.

The IDF updates that dozens of Air Force fighter jets, under the intelligence guidance of Aman, completed an extensive strike today (Monday) against strategic defense systems of the Iranian terror regime. The strike was executed a short while ago and was designed to degrade Iran’s defense capabilities. These defense systems were recently deployed in several different areas across Iran. Their deployment was part of the Iranian regime’s efforts to restore its detection and defense capabilities, which were significantly damaged in a previous operation called ‘Lion’s Roar’.

According to the IDF, the extensive strike completed by our forces led to the total destruction of the Iranian defense systems. This operation serves to considerably deepen the operational freedom of action of the Israeli Air Force in the skies of Iran, and strengthens deterrence against the terror regime.

The attacks in Iran | photo by: Arab social networks

Earlier tonight, a wave of strikes was executed on Iranian soil in response to the launches carried out toward the north of the country. The attack was accompanied by reports of explosions heard in five major cities across the region. According to reports in the Arabic media, among the targets attacked was Mehrabad Airport in Tehran. Concurrently, the sounds of explosions were reported in the cities of Tehran, Kermanshah, and Tabriz, and reports were also received regarding a strike executed in the area of Baghdad, Iraq.

The airstrike was carried out by Israeli fighter jets that passed through Iraqi airspace. During the operation, long-range munitions and precision missiles were used against the Iranian targets. In Iran, data has begun to be published regarding the extent of the damage caused by the wave of strikes, but official information on the specific locations hit deep inside the country remains limited at this stage, in accordance with reporting policy.

  • Iran Blames U.S. for Regional Escalation

Iran Blames U.S. for Regional Escalation

The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, is pointing a sharp, accusing finger at the American administration following the wave of airstrikes, claiming that Israel is incapable of operating militarily against the Islamic Republic without full, prior coordination with Washington. In an official statement, Baghaei asserted that the United States stands behind all acts of aggression in the region and bears direct responsibility for the escalation of regional tensions.

The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei: “The Israeli occupation cannot launch an attack against Iran without coordination with the United States.

The United States stands behind all ongoing acts of aggression and bears responsibility for the tension in the region.

The United States acts inconsistently and undermines diplomatic efforts.”

  • Short Time Ago: Alrams Sounded in Israel

Short Time Ago: Alrams Sounded in Israel

Sirens were activated today (Monday) for the second time since this morning across extensive areas in the north and center of the country following the detection of missile launches toward Israel. The Home Front Command announced that citizens must enter protected areas until defense systems neutralize the threat from Iran. At this stage, scans are being conducted in Kiryat Ata due to concerns over falling interception debris.

The IDF Spokesperson’s statement read: “Defense systems are currently operating to intercept the threat. In recent minutes, the Home Front Command distributed a preliminary alert directly to mobile phones in the relevant areas. The public is requested to show responsibility and act according to the instructions—they save lives. Enter protected areas immediately upon receiving the alert and remain there until further notice.”

Magen David Adom (MDA) stated following the fire toward the State of Israel: “At this stage, there are no known casualties. MDA medics and paramedics have gone out to scan a scene from which a report was received.” Scans are being conducted in Kiryat Ata due to concerns over falling interception debris, while residents in the central region reported hearing powerful echoes of explosions.

Earlier today, sirens were activated across extensive areas of the country following the detection of missile launches toward Israel. The Samaria Spokesperson’s Office reported that three houses were damaged—with no casualties. The Home Front Command subsequently announced a return to routine. Concurrently, the IDF confirmed that our forces attacked a petrochemical plant in Mahshahr, located in southwestern Iran.

In the latest round, Iran launched a cluster missile toward Israel. This presents a dual risk, as the missile itself can cause severe damage. However, the primary danger of a cluster missile lies in “duds”—submunitions that failed to explode upon impact and remain dormant on the ground. These can detonate upon later contact, posing a tangible danger to civilians even after permission is given to leave protected areas.

Safety guidelines following the use of cluster munitions:

Do not approach unexploded ordnance: If you identify a suspicious object, fragment, or submunition—move away from the area immediately.

Report instantly: Report any identification of unexploded ordnance on the ground to the Israel Police 100 hotline.

Discipline in the protected area: As proven in the past, staying inside a residential secure space (MAMAD) can be the difference between a minor injury and a heavy disaster.

Houthis Impose Total Blockade on Ships in Red Sea

The Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, issued a statement claiming responsibility for the launches toward Israel this morning. According to him, Houthi forces targeted “sensitive targets belonging to the Israeli enemy in the Jaffa area,” as part of the organization’s ongoing military operations against Israel.

At the same time, Saree announced an escalation of measures in the maritime arena, declaring an “absolute ban on enemy shipping in the Red Sea.” He stated that any Israeli maritime movement in the area will henceforth be considered a legitimate military target for the organization’s forces. Later in his statement, he also announced the renewal of the “naval blockade on Israel,” clarifying that the Houthis intend to expand their operations in accordance with developments on the ground.

“We will respond to escalation with escalation,” Saree said, adding that the organization’s operations will intensify as long as the fighting continues, in coordination and cooperation with additional elements within the “Axis of Jihad and Resistance.”
