Slovenia Lifts Arms Embargo and Sanctions on Israel

Slovenia’s government under Prime Minister Janez Janša lifted all sanctions against Israel today (Thursday), including an embargo on arms exports and imports. The decision reverses measures taken by the previous government of Robert Golob, which had cited violations of international law and harm to ‘Palestinian’ human rights in Judea and Samaria and Gaza.

Among the canceled decisions was the declaration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “persona non grata” in Slovenia, along with Ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir. The ban on importing products from Israel originating in Judea and Samaria was also lifted. Slovenia’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that these sanctions were never actually implemented.

The Foreign Ministry said lifting the sanctions restores conditions for normal political dialogue with Israel, and that through quiet diplomacy Slovenia will be able to strengthen its role in efforts to achieve sustainable peace in the Middle East. The ministry noted that expanding bilateral cooperation will create opportunities in innovation, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, cyber, water management, agriculture, health, science, defense and rescue, and economic cooperation.

Slovenia’s Defense Ministry announced that the decision banning export and transit of weapons and military equipment from Slovenia to Israel, and imports from Israel to Slovenia, has also been canceled. The Defense Ministry stressed that the embargo decision was unnecessary from the outset. At the same time, Slovenia remains committed to respecting international law and UN conventions, as well as its position regarding a solution that would enable coexistence of Israelis and ‘Palestinians’.

IDF forces from the 36th Division are continuing to clear the massive tunnel network beneath the Beaufort Ridge, where they’ve uncovered command centers, anti-tank positions, mortars, anti-aircraft machine guns, and weapons depots built over years with Iranian funding. In recent days, Hezbollah operatives were spotted fleeing from one of the underground routes and were killed in an Air Force strike after attempting to escape. Meanwhile, the full scope of the divisional operation that led to the crossing of the Litani River, the capture of the Beaufort Ridge, and control over terror infrastructure threatening Metula and the Hula Valley is coming to light.

The IDF Spokesperson released footage Thursday evening of operations by the Commando Brigade Combat Team and the Yahalom unit, operating under the 36th Division and directed by Military Intelligence and Northern Command, as they deepen the clearing of the underground tunnel network beneath the Beaufort Ridge in southern Lebanon.

This is an extensive underground infrastructure planned and built over years with funding from the Iranian terror regime, and it served as a central asset for Hezbollah in managing combat operations. During the clearing of the tunnels, large quantities of combat equipment were found, including mortar shells, fragmentation grenades, RPG launchers, Kornet missiles, anti-aircraft machine guns, and Kalashnikov rifles.

In recent days, fighters from the Egoz unit worked to locate shafts and underground routes in the area. During the operation, a Yahalom unit drone spotted terrorists inside one of the tunnels. The terrorists fired at the drone and fled the scene, but shortly afterward they were located along with additional terrorists trying to escape from the tunnel. The Air Force, directed by forces on the ground, struck and killed all the terrorists.

Behind the current operation stands a broad operational move that pushed the 36th Division deep into southern Lebanon. The division was the first to cross the Litani River and reach the Beaufort Ridge, after an extended preparation period that included deception operations, preliminary commando raids, clearing of terror infrastructure, and preparation of movement routes. As part of the move, a complex crossing of the Litani River was carried out using bridging equipment brought into the area after weeks of preparation.

The advance toward the Beaufort included seizing Hezbollah’s main defensive lines between the Litani and Saluki. During the fighting, Givati forces led the advance and were first to capture the Zawtar compound, while operations by Givati and the 7th Brigade enabled the continued attack toward the Beaufort Ridge and control over the area dominating Metula and the Hula Valley.

During operations in the area, a massive infrastructure system built over years was uncovered. According to findings on the ground, bunkers and combat infrastructure were found in almost every house, alongside rockets aimed at the Galilee Panhandle, anti-tank missiles ready to launch, and additional combat equipment. On the Beaufort Ridge itself, an entire underground “city” was uncovered, including command centers, weapons depots, anti-tank firing positions, mortar positions, anti-aircraft machine guns, and additional infrastructure designed to allow Hezbollah to continue fighting even under heavy strikes.

The IDF describes the scale of the infrastructure as exceptionally large. Some of the compounds uncovered include advanced underground infrastructure, with living areas, command centers, and fortified compounds built over years as part of Hezbollah’s operational array in southern Lebanon. Alongside the fighting in the infrastructure, forces continue to engage terrorists operating in the area. Over the past month, all division units have killed more than one hundred terrorists, including Radwan Force operatives. According to the data, dozens of terrorists were also killed during fighting in the Litani area and during the advance toward the Beaufort Ridge.

Despite the severe blow the terror organization has suffered, clashes with Hezbollah terrorists in the area continue as they still try to operate terror cells, mainly using explosive drones and anti-tank missiles. The security establishment assesses that the forces’ hold on the Beaufort and the areas dominating the border prevents infiltration attempts into Israeli territory and enables continued exposure of infrastructure and weapons remaining in the area.

In recent weeks, three fighters from the Givati Brigade fell during operations in the sector. At the same time, the IDF emphasizes there is no shortage of forces and that the mission is not yet complete. The operational achievement required at this stage is continued hold on the Beaufort Ridge, locating and destroying remaining terror infrastructure in the area, and continued strikes on Hezbollah operatives. The IDF estimates significant work remains in the Litani area and on the Beaufort Ridge, and that operations are expected to continue in the coming weeks until completion of the operational missions set for the sector.

Israeli forces from the 7th Brigade Combat Team and the Egoz Unit, under the command of Division 36, completed a complex operation in recent days to gain operational control and clear the northern Saluki River area in southern Lebanon. The operation was carried out as part of the division’s effort to strengthen control of the territory and remove the threat to communities in the Galilee Panhandle and Metula.

The cleared area served Hezbollah as strategic infrastructure from which explosive drones were operated and high-trajectory fire was directed at IDF forces operating in the sector. Throughout the operation, the combat team worked in close coordination with the Air Force, enabling the destruction of hundreds of terror infrastructure sites built up in the area.

During the fighting, more than 50 terrorists were killed. In addition, forces swept the area and located extensive weapons stockpiles, including explosive charges, anti-tank missiles, and anti-tank launchers.

Hezbollah Claims It Shot Down Israeli Drone

Hezbollah released an official statement today (Thursday) claiming its operatives shot down an Israeli Heron 1 drone at 4:00 p.m. over the Nakhleh area in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. According to the terror group, the drone was downed using a “special missile” in what it described as retaliation for ceasefire violations and Israeli incursions into Lebanese airspace.

In its statement, Hezbollah framed the incident as part of its efforts to defend Lebanon. The terror group did not release footage of the downing and provided no additional details about the drone’s condition after the strike.

Following the incident, the IDF reportedly struck the drone’s crash site. According to reports, the strike was aimed at preventing the recovery of components, weapons systems, or sensitive intelligence that may have been aboard the aircraft.

French Anti-Israel Journalist Deported from Israel

Israel is no longer turning the other cheek. On Monday morning, Israel made clear that the era when foreign journalists could smear the country, support terror, and request work visas through a “revolving door” system—is over. French journalist Alice Froussard, known as one of the most antisemitic voices in French media, was deported after attempting to enter Israel and secure a permanent work visa.

Froussard, who has operated in recent years from Jerusalem and Ramallah reporting for far-left French media outlets like Mediapart, hasn’t hidden her views. An in-depth review conducted by the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism exposed her true face: statements legitimizing the October 7 massacre under the whitewashed cover of “examining context,” false accusations of a “massacre” carried out by the IDF in Gaza, and a relentless delegitimization campaign portraying Israel as an “apartheid” state.

Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister Amichai Chikli said: “Like Linda Sarsour and other inciters before her, Alice Froussard has also learned that we’ve changed the rules of the game: anyone who supports Hamas and the boycott movement against the State of Israel will not enter it. Bon Voyage!”

The minister also sent a message to the French president: “As for the expected criticism from Macron and Jean-Noël Barrot, who granted Hamas recognition of a Palestinian state while our hostages rotted in captivity, and who impose sanctions on Israeli ministers and citizens: you’ve made this decision very easy.”

Avi Cohen Scali, Director General of the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism: “Those who smear the State of Israel will not work in it. We will continue to denounce antisemitic statements within Israel’s borders and beyond.”

Lawmaker Calls Shin Bet to Shut Down Jewish Division

MK Avi Maoz called on Shin Bet director Ronen Bar to shut down the agency’s Jewish Division, arguing that Israel’s internal security service shouldn’t be involved in operations against Jews but should “focus only on thwarting our enemies—there’s plenty of work in that sector.”

Maoz, from the far-right Noam party, made the comments Thursday in response to a Haaretz report that the Shin Bet would be involved in monitoring ultra-Orthodox protests against military conscription.

According to Maoz, “The Shin Bet shouldn’t be involved in thwarting protest actions by Jews. Whether it’s the ultra-Orthodox or the settlers—the Shin Bet should focus only on thwarting our enemies. There’s plenty of work in that sector.”

Maoz also sharply criticized the agency over its October 7 failures: “No wonder the Shin Bet failed on Simchat Torah. Because the same resources it deploys against our enemies—it deploys against our friends.”

Netanyahu Unveils Aid Package for Galilee Core Cities

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a massive aid package for core cities in northern Israel during a special cabinet meeting held Thursday in Nof HaGalil. Netanyahu emphasized the goal is to bring prosperity and security to the region, similar to efforts made in the south following the October 7 attacks.

“In a joint effort, we’re bringing a huge package to the core cities: Nof HaGalil, Acre, Karmiel, Safed, Afula, Nazareth, and Tiberias. What we did in the south will be done in the north—that’s our vision,” Netanyahu said. He added that Israel is in a constant struggle over the Galilee, and that security is the top priority, referencing the ongoing fight against Hezbollah and the elimination of hundreds of terrorists weekly.

Netanyahu also addressed the drone challenge in the north and promised the government is working on a solution. He noted that many didn’t believe it when the government promised the south would return and prosper, but today demand for housing and settlement in the area is higher than before October 7. “What we did in the south will be done in the north. These aren’t exactly the same challenges—they’re slightly different challenges—but the result will be identical,” he said.

The package includes aid for infrastructure and prosperity, after approximately ₪20 billion has already been allocated to communities within nine kilometers of the border, and an additional ₪1 billion to the Golan Heights. Netanyahu emphasized this is a “huge boost” that will provide momentum and development to the core cities, calling it a “sacred national mission.”

The prime minister said the government will advance massive urban renewal in business, transportation, infrastructure, health, and education, and wants to give local authority heads the tools needed to maximize use of the resources. “I love the Galilee. It’s an integral part of our homeland. It’s a part we must protect and a part we must develop,” Netanyahu concluded.

Jerusalem School Exposed for Affiliation with Hamas

Knesset Education Committee Chairman MK Zvi Sukkot conducted a surprise inspection today (Thursday) at the Nur al-Huda School in the Shuafat neighborhood of East Jerusalem. The visit was part of an ongoing series of oversight inspections the committee is conducting in the city’s Arab education system.

During the visit, a confrontation erupted between Sukkot and the school’s principal, Hamza Qaisi. Sukkot presented the principal with documentation showing him soliciting funds for an organization identified with Hamas. When confronted with the evidence and accusations, the principal refused to answer questions and chose to flee into the school grounds.

The visit followed an investigation by the ‘Hakol Hayehudi’ (The Jewish voice) news site, which revealed that the school is connected to the “Amsah Damaat al-Yatim” association, managed by figures affiliated with “Zakat al-Quds”—an organization recognized by the court as being identified with Hamas and currently undergoing dissolution proceedings.

According to the findings, the school’s principal, Qaisi, holds positions in associations linked to this organization, and has previously acknowledged in official publications that he received financial assistance for the institution from entities defined as banned organizations. It is further alleged that the school building was constructed from donations raised by terror operatives, and that figures who openly supported terrorism participated in the dedication ceremony.

“There is no extraterritoriality in the State of Israel,” declared Sukkot at the end of the inspection. “We will not give a hand to terror and will not allow a situation where educational institutions in Jerusalem operate under the patronage, financing, or influence of entities identified with Hamas. Anyone who thinks they can introduce extremist ideology into the education system while simultaneously enjoying recognition or budgets from the State of Israel—is mistaken.”

Sukkot announced he will immediately contact the Education and Defense ministries demanding they examine all contracts with the institution and ensure that public funds are not flowing to institutions with ties to terror organizations.

‘Hakol Hayehudi’ responded: “We warned about Hamas institutions in Jerusalem being funded by the State of Israel already four years ago. We provided extensive materials to the Israel Police as well, and we hope the authorities will wake up and act not only in Gaza but also against Hamas institutions located in the heart of Jerusalem.”

“A child who grows up in a Hamas school is the terrorist of the future,” Sukkot emphasized. “We will not allow terror to penetrate the education system in Jerusalem.”

  • What the Media Won’t Show You About ‘Violent Settlers’

What the Media Won’t Show You About ‘Violent Settlers’

The orchestrated campaign that’s been running in the Israeli media for a long time about ‘settler violence’ was debunked again yesterday (Tuesday) in footage by Channel 14 reporter Milen Amar, who reported on the ground and exposed a picture that completely debunks the fabricated narrative the leftist media is trying to sell to the Israeli public, while damaging Israel’s standing abroad, and fueling antisemitism worldwide.

In the footage in question, Israelis in Judea and Samaria are seen providing lifesaving medical aid to Arabs injured in a serious car accident. “The settlers they love to paint as terrorists—they’re the ones who provided help out of pure kindness,” Amar clarified. This footage doesn’t just debunk the ugly labeling, but proves we’re dealing with fabricated stories whose purpose is to smear an entire public that guards the state and defends it with their bodies.”

Deafening Silence on Violence Against Jews

While every marginal, petty crime incident attributed to Jews becomes a lead story in every news broadcast, far more serious violent incidents directed against Jews are met with complete disregard. For example, the case of a youth who was brutally attacked during a hilltop evacuation, beaten, tied up, and threatened—an incident that “was met with complete silence” in most media outlets.

Enbal, mother of a 17-year-old boy, described the pattern of abuse her son experienced in the evacuation of Tel Talpiot Hill. According to her, the incident began when the teenager tried to extinguish a fire at a site, but then the picture changed in an instant: “They unpacked the soldiers’ GMC Savana, just aimed weapons at them and started shooting live fire,” Enbal recounted.

She added that her son understood he was in real mortal danger when he identified the weapon’s laser point on his friend: “He saw the green laser on his friend, so he dropped to his knees, raised his hands, and said, ‘I’m Jewish.’ The soldiers just pounced on him like prey. The military police backs the soldiers, an operations officer says everything was proper conduct. I’m not willing to close this with ‘everything’s fine’. That soldier, that officer, shouldn’t serve one more day in the army.”

Jews in Samaria | Photo: Haim Goldberg, Flash 90

IDF Spokesperson’s Response: “Last Thursday, security forces acted to evacuate dozens of Israelis who rioted in the village of Qusra, located in Area B, when some of them barricaded themselves on the roof of an Arab house inside the village. Shortly afterward, IDF forces acted to disperse another violent disturbance that included blocking roads at a central junction, during which the forces were attacked by several Israeli rioters. In the incident, an Israeli citizen who participated in the rioting in the area was detained and was later released. The claims about the force’s conduct are being examined in cooperation with the commanders. At the same time, one cannot ignore the violence that preceded those incidents, as a result of which security force personnel were injured. These incidents divert the attention of the IDF and security forces from their central mission, which is protecting residents and thwarting terror. Attacks on security forces harm the sector’s security and prevent the forces from fulfilling their role.”
