After government criticism of the High Court’s decision to freeze construction in the E1 area until after the election, the Israel Land Authority decided to postpone opening the tender box—but not the submission of bids.
The Israel Land Authority published an update Thursday to the tender for 1,234 housing units in the controversial E1 area. According to the update, the final deadline for submitting bids remains October 19, 2026, but the tender committee will not open the bid box or review proposals before November 19, 2026.

The move is designed to circumvent the High Court ruling and the Attorney General’s directive. According to reports, the Attorney General ordered the bid opening postponed by a month to prevent the tender from being used as part of election campaigning, so the box would only be opened after the election scheduled for October 27, 2026.
This effectively creates a situation where the tender itself remains valid, and contractors can submit bids before the election, but the announcement of winners will be delayed until afterward. The move is drawing sharp criticism from left-wing organizations. The far-left movement Peace Now attacked the decision and said the tender should be canceled entirely.
According to the left-wing organization that supports establishing a ‘Palestinian’ state, postponing the opening of the tender box doesn’t change the fundamental fact that Israel’s government seeks “to prevent at all costs the chance for peace and a two-state solution.” The organization claims that even at the new date set for opening the tender box, there’s still a strong chance that contracts with contractors will be signed before a new government is formed, and the incoming government will face a fait accompli that’s much harder to change.

Delivery trucks serving a Carrefour supermarket and shopping center in Tel Aviv’s affluent Park Tzameret neighborhood routinely park in spaces set aside for school drop-offs, in violation of posted municipal signage which allows them to operate there from 9:00AM. A C14 investigation found that as recently as October 11th, 2026, the school drop off zone is packed with heavy trucks before 9:00AM. C14 reviewed documentation that showed that since December 2025, parents have complained to the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality requesting an intervention and emphasizing the danger posed by the trucks, but they say that the city has taken no action to address the problem.
The area houses a municipal kindergarten and the Meshutaf school, a citywide public school that draws hundreds of children from across Tel Aviv, many of which arrive by car. Families have three designated drop-off spaces to share by the school.

Signs posted by the municipality are explicit. Commercial vehicles may load and unload between 9:00 and 16:00, Sunday through Thursday, and until 12:00 on Fridays and holiday eves. The adjacent drop-off zone is reserved for picking up and dropping off passengers between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning and again from 12:30 to 16:30. Vehicles parked in violation, both signs state, will be towed.

Peak arrival at the school and kindergarten runs from 8:00 to 8:15, with afternoon pickup concentrated between 15:10 and 15:30. Photographs taken by parents on the morning of December 7, 2025, show at least five refrigerated delivery trucks parked across the drop-off area at 7:39, well before loading is permitted. One truck was stopped beside the entrance with a young child standing a few feet from its front bumper.
Parents say municipal parking inspectors patrol the area aggressively during those same hours. Parents say that cars belonging to families dropping off children are ticketed and towed, while the trucks parked beside them are left alone. On the day the photos were taken, parents reported that a child from the school was nearly struck by a tow truck operating in the drop-off zone.

The parents compiled their documentation into a presentation for the municipality. One slide placed a photo of a child beside a photo of a delivery truck under the question: “Which cargo is more valuable?”

Their proposed fix was modest. For 30 minutes each morning and afternoon, parents would be allowed to stop for up to five minutes anywhere in the area to drop off or collect children, and all other vehicles, supermarket trucks included, would be barred from entering.
The Tel Aviv Municipality’s response to C14’s request for comment:“The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality carries out enforcement at the location both in response to reports received through the municipal hotline and through proactive enforcement activity. Fines are issued whenever a parking violation is observed. In addition, municipal enforcement teams have been instructed to increase their presence at the location, with particular emphasis on school arrival and dismissal hours. In addition, we received six reports regarding this issue.”
Carrefour was not reachable for comment by press time.
Israel suspects that the Quds Force—a terrorist organization and the elite unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps—has recently been working to recruit terrorists in Lebanon and Syria to carry out attacks within Israeli territory.
Meanwhile, just this past weekend, Israeli forces conducted an airstrike targeting Syrian terrorist Yusuf Ali al-Hasson, who had been advancing terror plots in Syria under the direction of the Iranian terror regime.
Over the past year, al-Hasson advanced several terror plots against Israeli forces in the region—all of which were thwarted. These plots included the launching of explosive-laden drones and rockets at Israeli forces in southern Syria.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the political bloc landscape today (Sunday) during a Likud faction meeting in Petah Tikva, assessing that the camps are currently evenly matched. “There is currently a tie between the blocs, 60-60,” Netanyahu said, adding that increasing voter turnout in right-wing strongholds would be the deciding factor in the election.
According to Netanyahu, “If we don’t raise voter turnout in right-wing strongholds, we won’t win, and we’ll end up with a left-wing government led by Eisenkot, Yair Golan, Lieberman, Bennett, and the Arab parties.” He further stated that if the right-wing camp succeeds in boosting turnout and securing “three seats currently held by Winter and Zelekha”—as he put it—”we will win.”
During the meeting, Netanyahu asked candidates to emphasize to the public the danger—as he defined it—of forming a government that relies on the support of Arab factions. Additionally, he called for highlighting the budgetary demands presented by Arab parties as conditions for coalition cooperation, and for placing this issue at the center of the election campaign. Netanyahu’s remarks also come against the backdrop of a News 14 poll published last week, which indicates a narrowing gap between him and Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot regarding suitability for the premiership. According to the poll, Netanyahu holds 52% support compared to Eisenkot’s 48%, whereas the previous poll showed a split of 54% to 46%.
This trend is also evident when compared to a poll published on September 17, in which Netanyahu garnered 57% support against Eisenkot’s 43%. In less than three weeks, the gap has narrowed by five percentage points—a figure that may explain the emphasis the Prime Minister placed during the Likud faction meeting on boosting voter turnout in right-wing strongholds and on the importance of securing votes from parties not expected, according to the polls, to cross the electoral threshold.
Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot declared himself a big supporter of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. But in an interview with Makor Rishon set to publish tomorrow (Friday), Eisenkot clarifies that he believes in “blocs”—a common code phrase used by supporters of withdrawals from Judea and Samaria and establishing a state or autonomy for Arabs in Judea and Samaria. In the interview, the Yashar chairman makes clear he opposes construction in the E-1 area of Ma’ale Adumim that the government approved.

Eisenkot previously stated that “after October 7, settlement in the south and north takes on renewed importance in my eyes. If resettlement in Judea and Samaria is according to national interests and according to law, I’m in favor of strengthening resettlement.”
But now his words sound somewhat different. In the new interview, the former IDF chief of staff clarifies that “Yashar supports legal construction in accordance with the interests of the State of Israel. We will work to strengthen and develop the Jewish blocs according to law and in accordance with Israel’s national interests.”

According to him, “for 17 years Netanyahu blocked construction in E-1 with all his might for international considerations. Continuing to advance this plan as a result of political and coalition pressures alone is a mistake that costs Israel a heavy international price. Yashar will consider the national and security interests of the State of Israel, and will not allow narrow, specific political considerations to take priority over strategic national interests.”
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded sharply to Eisenkot’s remarks: “As I said immediately, Gadi Eisenkot surrendered to international pressure and committed to the Europeans to stop our revolution in Judea and Samaria, which prevents the next October 7—five minutes from Ra’anana, Kfar Saba, Netanya and Afula. We must not abandon the State of Israel to Gadi, Yair, Naftali, Golan and Mansour Abbas. We’re not gambling at the ballot box, and we’re going with the sure thing: Religious Zionism.”
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar departed on Friday for an official diplomatic visit to Albania, primarily to bolster strategic relations between the two nations. During the visit, Sa’ar is scheduled to sign an expansive government-to-government (G2G) agreement, marking a significant milestone in economic and diplomatic ties between Jerusalem and Tirana.

The new accord will enable the Albanian government to engage directly in contracts with leading Israeli firms across a broad spectrum of industries. The move is expected to significantly accelerate commercial ties and unlock commercial opportunities for Israeli enterprises in key sectors, including cybersecurity, high-tech innovation, water management technologies, energy, healthcare, and advanced agritech.
During his visit, Foreign Minister Sa’ar is slated to hold a series of diplomatic meetings with Albania’s top leadership. Among others, he will meet with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi, and Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha to deliberate on enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Bilateral ties between Israel and Albania are considered exceptionally close. Since the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, Albania has consistently stood in solidarity with Israel, swiftly condemning the massacre and taking the significant step of formally designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
The IDF and the Shin Bet (ISA) carried out a targeted airstrike last Monday in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza, eliminating Hisham Gamal Muhammad Abu Galala, a platoon leader in the Nukhba force of Hamas’s military wing. Abu Galala was among the key leaders of the assault on the Kissufim military outpost and took part in the abduction of Israeli nationals during the October 7 massacre.

Throughout the war and in recent periods, the terrorist continuously orchestrated and advanced hostile plots targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians. He actively worked to rehabilitate Hamas’s operational capabilities while systematically violating ceasefire understandings. The terrorist was neutralized from the air to remove the imminent threat he posed decisively.
Over the past 24 hours, Israeli forces struck multiple Hamas terrorist targets across the Gaza Strip, destroying military infrastructure utilized by operatives of the terror organization. Among the targets struck were an observation command room, a rocket launch site, and three weapons storage facilities containing dozens of firearms, rockets, and explosive devices.

One of the destroyed targets was an observation command center in the Daraj Tuffah area, which was utilized by Hamas terrorists to direct operations against Israeli forces operating in the sector. Additionally, forces struck a rocket launching site in the al-Fakhran area.
As part of the operations, forces also eliminated three weapons storage facilities across various locations in the Strip. The depots contained dozens of diverse weapon types, including rockets, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), mortar rounds, Kalashnikov assault rifles, and additional combat equipment.

Defense officials emphasized that the strikes were designed to degrade Hamas’s military capabilities and prevent the terror organization from rehabilitating its infrastructure or amassing combat materiel intended to harm Israeli troops.
Two security personnel from Samaria were arrested this morning (Sunday) by police and Shin Bet forces; as part of the arrest, an exceptional order was issued barring them from meeting with a lawyer. Details regarding the arrest and the identities of the detainees are subject to a gag order. One of the detainees belongs to a bereaved family. The Honenu organization has filed an urgent appeal demanding the order be lifted.
According to details provided by the families, the arrest took place around 5:00 AM. The wife of one of the detainees recounted that a police force comprising at least 15 officers arrived at their home, with some of the officers wearing masks. She stated that the force did not inform her husband of the reason for his arrest. During the operation, his weapon, communication devices, and a Ranger-type ATV were confiscated.
The two were transferred for Shin Bet interrogation and were prohibited from meeting with a lawyer. A hearing regarding their case was scheduled for 2:00 PM at the Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court. Concurrently, Attorney Nati Rom of the Honenu organization filed an urgent appeal with the Lod District Court, demanding the cancellation of the order preventing the detainees from meeting with their lawyers.

Attorney Nati Rom stated: “The use of the Shin Bet’s most draconian tools against the best of our sons during wartime is inconceivable. These are measures intended for terrorists, yet they are being used against security personnel who have dedicated the best years of their lives to defending the state’s security. Denying access to legal counsel is a measure reserved only for extreme, exceptional cases.”
Sources within the Judea and Samaria community argued that the establishment of the inter-agency task force in the Judea and Samaria District—during the tenure of Major General Moshe Pinchi—was intended to expand operations against locals; they had warned at the time that its scope would not be limited to youths identified as ‘hilltop youth’. According to them, the current arrest demonstrates that these operations are expanding to include individuals holding security roles within the community—people who do not necessarily belong to the groups originally targeted by these measures.

Similarly, about a year and a half ago, the civilian security coordinator (Ravshatz) of Malachei HaShalom and another reservist were arrested for Shin Bet interrogation. Both were subsequently released without indictment. Community sources claim that such arrests are facilitated by the “settler violence” campaign, which has drawn condemnation against pioneers—even from within the mainstream community itself. The police issued an update: “As part of a joint investigation by the Judea and Samaria District’s inter-agency task force and the Shin Bet regarding an incident of extreme violence in the Aqraba area about a month ago, two suspects were arrested overnight on suspicion of involvement. The investigation is continuing in cooperation with the Shin Bet and the Military Police Criminal Investigation Division.”
Davidi Ben Zion, Deputy Head of the Samaria Regional Council and a candidate for the Amcha Israel party, responded: “Arresting a civilian security coordinator like a common terrorist is a disgrace. It is absurd that a man entrusted with the security of the residents of the Itamar Ridge is taken in for questioning in the dead of night. Such conduct is reminiscent of other eras in the history of the resettlement enterprise.”
Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a blistering message on Sunday directed at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and senior Hamas terror figure Khalil al-Hayya. In his remarks, Katz attacked Turkey’s continuous backing of Hamas while delivering an explicit warning regarding al-Hayya’s targeted elimination.

“Erdogan continues to roll out the red carpet for the murderers and rapists of Hamas, actively supporting the terrorist activities they advance from Turkish soil alongside the Muslim Brotherhood against Israel and moderate, pivotal Muslim states in the region,” the defense minister stated.
Katz subsequently directed a blunt personal warning toward Khalil al-Hayya, clarifying that Israel has not closed its score with the terror organization’s top brass: “We eliminated the leaders of Hamas in Gaza, and al-Hayya’s turn will come as well—he will be sent to meet Haniyeh and his comrades in the depths of hell.”
