A few minutes later, President Trump also shared the article.
Later, the US military began a wave of 12 attacks against military targets in Iran. Even before the attack, US Central Command said that these were intended to “continue to undermine Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting regional waters.”
In line with intensifying American attacks – the tones in Iran and the level of threats against the US continue to rise: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made it clear that his country’s defense doctrine is clear: “an eye for an eye.” According to him, any aggression against Iran, including against its infrastructure, will require a powerful and decisive response, while anyone who contributes to such aggression, in any form of support, will also be considered a legitimate target.
At the same time, the Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed that they carried out missile and drone attacks against two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea last night. The Houthis declared that they had imposed a naval embargo on the Saudi kingdom, and that the attacks were carried out against the backdrop of the “US war on Iran,” as they call it. In a statement published on Telegram, the Houthis stated that they had “carried out a high-quality military operation against two Saudi oil tankers that violated the siege,” and named the vessels: “Ansalia” and “Layla.”
