PM Netanyahu: Israel Will Prevent Nuclear Iran

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared today (Wednesday) that Israel will continue to act to prevent nuclear weapons from Iran, speaking during the reburial ceremony for Shimon and Rivka Herzl—the grandparents of Theodor Herzl—who were brought from Serbia and interred on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.

“Today we heard IRGC Commander Vahidi explicitly state Iran’s intention to continue developing nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said. “As Prime Minister of Israel, I am equally determined to continue—to continue preventing Iran from possessing nuclear weapons.”

Netanyahu underscored the importance of the alliance with the United States, calling President Donald Trump “our greatest friend, the greatest friend we have ever had in the White House.” According to him, Israel and the United States are acting together against Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The Prime Minister added that “Israel’s existence is not subject to negotiation,” declaring: “With an agreement or without an agreement, I am determined, we are all determined, to do whatever is necessary to guarantee our security and our future.”

In his speech, Netanyahu connected the reburial of the Herzl family members to the foundational pillars of Zionism, including Judaism, the Torah, the Bible, and the chain of generations. He remarked that the prayers and dreams of Herzl’s grandparents in the Diaspora were forged by their grandson into a practical action plan that altered the course of Jewish history.

Netanyahu also addressed the war and unity within Israeli society, stating that after October 7th, the understanding deepened that Israel cannot permit the establishment of a Palestinian terror state, which he noted aims to destroy the Jewish nation-state. He praised IDF soldiers and combatants, calling on the public not to allow slanders originating from abroad to seep into Israel.

Concluding his remarks, Netanyahu stated that the remains of Shimon-Leib and Rivka Herzl have been brought to Israel’s capital, adding that “the vision has come to pass and turned into reality. Zionism has won. The grandson, Theodor Herzl, has won. And with God’s help and the bravery of our fighters—we are winning.”

Netanyahu to Trump: Israel’s Existence Not Negotiable

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dispatched a message to the President of the United States today (Wednesday) during a reburial ceremony for the bones of the grandparents of the Visionary of the State, Theodor Herzl: “Trump is our greatest friend, but I wish to clarify: Israel’s existence is not subject to negotiation.”

At the outset of his remarks, the Prime Minister shared that he would leave the ceremony before its conclusion due to recent developments. “The political demands of the hour will require me to depart before the end of this important ceremony. We are in the midst of military and political events.”

The Prime Minister further emphasized during his speech that the State of Israel will act to guarantee its security under any possible scenario: “With an agreement or without an agreement, we will do whatever is necessary to secure our future.”

  • IDF Probe: Heroism and Failures in Gilad Ranch Attack

IDF Probe: Heroism and Failures in Gilad Ranch Attack

The findings of a dramatic operational probe presented yesterday (Tuesday) to IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir shed light on the severe terrorist attack that occurred on July 24, 2026, on the outskirts of the village of Till in the Samaria Brigade sector. Battery Commander Maj. Yuval Ezra z”l and territorial defense combatant Capt. (res.) Benayahu Mellet z”l were killed after terrorists attacked a group of hikers with stones—a trip conducted without prior coordination—snatched the local security coordinator’s weapon, and opened fire on forces arriving to protect the civilians.

The incident began following a hike in the area conducted without the required coordination and approval from security authorities. Several hours before the hikers set out, preliminary intelligence reached the Samaria Brigade. However, the initial force dispatched to the scene following a report from field observers regarding stone-throwers was forced to escort a group spread thin over a wide perimeter. Additional soldiers commanded by Maj. Yuval Ezra z”l arrived at the second point of confrontation, alongside the security coordinator of Gilad Ranch and Capt. (res.) Benayahu Mellet z”l from the standby response team, who rushed to the scene to separate the ‘Palestinians’ from the hikers.

When the medic and civilians came under attack and the security coordinator’s weapon was snatched, the three acted with rare courage to save lives. The probe reveals that Maj. Yuval Ezra z”l charged forward, engaged, and killed one of the terrorists before falling in battle. Meanwhile, the remaining terrorists were eliminated by a platoon commander who responded to the scene and two hikers who were IDF soldiers on leave. Regarding the death of Capt. (res.) Benayahu Mellet z”l, the probe established that it cannot be definitively determined whether he was struck by terrorist fire or by incidental fire during efforts to neutralize the threat.

Alongside the stories of heroism, the investigation highlighted a series of grave deficiencies: the military force that arrived at the scene was significantly understaffed given the scope of the incident, the number of hikers, and the volume of attackers. Furthermore, it was determined that remaining forces in the area failed to act effectively to formulate a situational picture, summon reinforcements, or dispatch medical units.

Additionally, the probe uncovered a severe failure in which, during the evacuation of Maj. Ezra z”l, Benayahu Mellet z”l was left wounded in the field for extended minutes, treated solely by a civilian medic without any military presence. The Chief of Staff ruled that this constituted an ethical and professional failure contradicting core IDF values, which prioritize the safety of civilians and the wounded above all.

Hours after the incident, security forces raided a hospital in broad daylight in the heart of Nablus and arrested two additional terrorists who were injured in the attack and evacuated there for treatment. Following a recommendation from the Head of the Personnel Directorate, the Chief of Staff approved promoting Benayahu Mellet z”l to the rank of Captain (res.) posthumously, acknowledging his ongoing officer training process.

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir adopted the investigation’s conclusions and instructed that lessons be implemented immediately: “This was a severe terror attack in which we lost two precious combatants… We will not accept a situation where civilian lives are endangered. IDF forces are obligated to protect Israeli citizens everywhere and at all times. Yuval and Benayahu z”l engaged the enemy, demonstrated fighting capabilities, and prevented a far worse outcome for the hikers. We will continue to investigate every incident professionally to improve and strengthen our readiness.”

  • IDF Strikes South of Lebanon After Hezbollah Violations

IDF Strikes South of Lebanon After Hezbollah Violations

After the IDF issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of the village of Al-Mansouri in Southern Lebanon, our forces launched a targeted wave of strikes in the area shortly ago (Wednesday) “in response to a blatant violation by the Hezbollah terror organization”. Meanwhile, Lebanese sources report one dead and at least nine wounded in a strike in the village of Tebnine.

A military source explained that the village of Al-Mansouri lies within the security perimeter under our forces’ control, where military activity that poses a risk to Lebanese civilians is actively ongoing. The IDF evacuated residents to ensure their safety. According to the source, those civilians arrived under the auspices of the Lebanese Army, which set up a checkpoint in the area in violation of agreements

The IDF Spokesperson emphasized that targeted strikes began in response to the organization’s violations, following a series of recent incidents in which Hezbollah breached the ceasefire in the sector. Just days ago, the IDF confirmed that Hezbollah launched an explosive drone toward an engineering vehicle belonging to our forces in the Ali Taher ridge area—an incident that ended without casualties but constituted a blatant violation of agreements. Following these events, the IDF made clear that it will not permit terrorists to advance or execute terror plots against forces operating on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Kfar Vradim Local Council issued a notice to its residents stating that explosive sounds are expected to be heard in the coming hours due to a wave of strikes by our forces in the western sector of Lebanon. The council noted that, as of now, there is no change in situational assessments or Home Front Command guidelines for the public.

Just yesterday, our military analyst Noam Amir emphasized that despite discussions of diplomatic understandings with the Lebanese government, Hezbollah on the ground has not stopped for a moment, continuing rearmament efforts and persistent attempts to re-establish its presence in Southern Lebanon. He added that the Lebanese Army—which is supposed to act as a balancing force—presents numerous enforcement difficulties and possesses limited capability to disarm the organization, which still controls large portions of the local military and booby-traps traffic routes.

According to him, the Lebanese soldiers’ severe fear of booby-trapped structures prevents them from conducting searches, leaving Hezbollah with virtually unhindered operational freedom. Our analyst stressed that based on current intelligence and operational assessments, the emerging conclusion is unequivocal: the mission in Lebanon is not yet complete.

IDF Destroys Tunnel with Dozens of Rockets in Southern Gaza

IDF forces located and destroyed an underground tunnel route containing dozens of rockets in the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesperson stated today (Wednesday). The operation was conducted as part of clearing terror infrastructure both above and below ground within the “Yellow Line” zone.

The operation was carried out by forces from the Paratroopers Brigade Combat Team operating under the command of the Gaza Division (143). The destruction of the route was executed in cooperation with the division’s engineering forces and the Yahalom special operations unit.

The IDF stated that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat. Among other materials, special body-cam footage from an Oketz unit canine inside the discovered tunnel was released, alongside documentation of its destruction.

IDF Launches Major Anti-Terror Raid in Qalandiya

Israeli forces launched an extended operation today (Wednesday) in the Qalandiya terror camp adjacent to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem. The operation comes against the backdrop of an escalation in the Arab terror wave and under the direction of the political leadership, following intelligence indicating significant terror organization inside the camp.

In line with this, the IDF distributed leaflets to residents of the Qalandiya refugee camp: “As you can see, there is no sanctuary for terror. IDF forces have begun an extensive operation in the area against terrorists. We will use all means, anywhere and at any time, to disrupt any attempt to carry out terrorist acts. Any attempt to harm Israeli civilians or Israeli security forces exposes perpetrators to live fire and arrest.”

As recalled, earlier this week we first reported that the political leadership approved a series of significant offensive operations across several sectors in Judea and Samaria aimed at thwarting terrorism. The decision follows a wave of Arab terror in recent weeks and the understanding that the Judea and Samaria arena has become an exceptionally volatile front.

The defense establishment prepared to expand offensive operations ahead of the upcoming holiday season. Within the system, there is a clear understanding that “what was will no longer be,” and that a shift must be made from defense to initiative. “We will not go into defense just because Arabs want to carry out attacks against us—we will initiate, we will attack, we will preempt,” a security official told Channel 14 News.

Since the outbreak of the war, both top military commanders and senior political officials placed the Judea and Samaria front at the bottom of the priority list. Now, voices are calling to allocate significantly more resources and capabilities to this arena in order to meet all necessary counter-terrorism objectives and guarantee the safety of residents.

  • Minister Katz Orders IDF: Do Not Reduce Gaza Border Forces

Minister Katz Orders IDF: Do Not Reduce Gaza Border Forces

Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF today (Wednesday) not to draw down defense troop strength in Gaza envelope communities at this time, pending any further decision on the matter. The directive comes after the IDF decided to reduce forces in the region, and apparently against the backdrop of tensions between the Defense Minister and the Chief of Staff.

The Defense Minister’s office stated that the decision was made to preserve the sense of security among residents in Gaza border communities. It was further stated that the directive was issued following a situational assessment led by Katz last week, and following appeals from local residents requesting to reinforce and maintain the security response in their communities.

Under the directive, the IDF will be required at this stage to leave existing defense troop levels in place across Gaza envelope communities until a different decision is reached on the issue.

  • Where Tractors Are Tanks: Israeli Ranches vs. Arab Invaders

Where Tractors Are Tanks: Israeli Ranches vs. Arab Invaders

A network of 31 Jewish ranches now maintains security control over more than half the land in the Jordan Valley, some 400,000 dunams, an area larger than the Gaza Strip, according to the region’s governor, David Elhayani, speaking to C14 on the ground today. These ranches rely in part on a fleet of heavy tractors funded through AFJS, an organization that has now delivered its seventh $100,000 machine to strategic farms across Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley. The latest arrived this week at one of the ranches, where officials say it will serve both as farming equipment and as a tool for holding territory.

AFJS CEO Yigal Dilmoni framed the initiative in explicitly military terms. “This is weapons. This is a tank. This is a jeep. This is a soldier of Am Israel, the soldier of the people of Israel,” he said, describing the tractor’s security function.

Governor Elhayani told C14 today that the presence of the ranches and their machinery has coincided with Arab residents voluntarily leaving the surrounding area, and no longer posing a threat to Jews. Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, addressing the broader strategic significance of the ranch program, said: “It’s our duty to make sure that we are governing and we are sovereign in these areas. And one of the most powerful tools to do it is the project of the farms.”

Chikli added, “For many years there was a, dispute regarding the legitimacy of the villages in Judea and Samaria in Jordan Valley. The heart of our homeland is Mount Eval, Shiloh, Hevon, obviously Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. This is the core. This is the heart of our homeland. And if you cannot justify, what are we doing in Mount Yval, Shiloh or Hevon, so the sands of Rishon, Letzion or Tel Aviv, well, obviously you won’t be able to justify why are we there?”

There is growing support for Israeli ranches in American and Israeli society. Supporters say that that the Jewish presence in the Jordan Valley cannot be separated from de-facto Israeli sovereignty more broadly. AFJS has described the initiative as a continuation of early Zionist land settlement practices, positioning agricultural infrastructure as a form of territorial control in areas where sovereignty will one day be applied by Israel.

  • New Poll: Smotrich and Ben Gvir Equal in Mandates

New Poll: Smotrich and Ben Gvir Equal in Mandates

A new Channel 14 mandate poll, conducted by Shlomo Filber through the company NEXT DATA and published today (Tuesday), presents a particularly stable political picture. According to the poll data, the right-wing bloc maintains its strength and reaches a solid majority of 62 mandates, while the left-wing bloc stands at only 48 mandates. The Arab parties win ten mandates in this poll together. The Likud party led by Benjamin Netanyahu continues to lead confidently as the largest list in the Knesset.

    Photo: Flash 90

In the detailed distribution of mandates, the Likud leads with 31 mandates, followed by the “Yashar” party led by Gadi Eisenkot, which receives 22 mandates. The Shas party wins 11 seats, and the Democrats party receives 10 seats. United Torah Judaism, Yisrael Beiteinu, and the Bennett-Lapid party receive eight seats each. The Otzma Yehudit and Religious Zionist parties win six seats each, while the Arab parties Hadash-Ta’al and Ra’am receive five seats per list.

Several parties remain below the threshold in this survey, including Balad with 2.9%, the Zionist Home or Reservists party led by Hili Troper and Yoaz Hendel with 1.9%, the Zehut party led by Moshe Feiglin with 1.3%, Ofer Winter with 1.2%, Gilad Erdan with 0.7% and the Blue and White party with only 0.5%. These figures highlight the inability of these small lists to break through the threshold required to enter the Knesset at this stage.

    Photo: Flash 90

In the category of suitability for the position of Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has a dramatic advantage and leads by a huge margin with 54% support from the public. His main rival, Gadi Eisenkot, receives only 34% support, while Naftali Bennett receives eight percent, Avigdor Lieberman three percent and Benny Gantz only one percent. In the question of a direct match between Netanyahu and Eisenkot, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wins comfortably with 56% support compared to only 44% for Eizenkot.

  • Israel’s Dilemma as Hamas Threatens to Abandon Gaza Deal

Israel’s Dilemma as Hamas Threatens to Abandon Gaza Deal

C14 has learned that as negotiations continue over a potential agreement in the Gaza Strip, Hamas has sent a message to the mediators saying it is considering withdrawing from the emerging understandings, claiming Israel’s continued airstrikes across Gaza are preventing progress. The development could have significant implications for the sensitive negotiations currently underway.

According to our source, Israeli officials are assessing the significance of Hamas’ message and considering their possible courses of action. The central dilemma is whether to continue military pressure—including airstrikes and targeted eliminations—on the assumption that it increases pressure on Hamas, or to temporarily pause military operations in an effort to advance the negotiations and achieve a breakthrough.

As previously reported, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Settlements Minister Orit Strock yesterday sent an urgent letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanding that he immediately convene the Security Cabinet and halt implementation of the roadmap published by the Board of Peace until it is amended to align with Israel’s war objectives and the commitments made to Israel.

Photo: Board of Peace (archive) | Reuters

According to the ministers, the official document published over the weekend differs substantially from the framework presented to cabinet ministers during the discussions that preceded its approval. They argue that the cabinet’s decision was made on the basis of information that did not match the final version of the document, and therefore a new decision is required to prevent implementation of the roadmap in its current form. According to the letter, without immediate intervention, a security reality could emerge in the Gaza Strip that contradicts Israel’s stated war objectives.

With Hamas threatening to walk away and Israel weighing whether military pressure or diplomatic flexibility offers the better path forward, the coming days could be critical for determining the future of the negotiations.
