Trump Conditions Saudi Nuclear Deal on Israel Ties

President Donald Trump made a dramatic move linking the nuclear future of the Middle East directly to expanding the Abraham Accords. Trump formally submitted to Congress the historic 30-year nuclear agreement signed with Saudi Arabia, but made clear the entire deal hinges on an unequivocal ultimatum: the Kingdom must normalize relations with Israel for the deal to go forward—according to a report published overnight Tuesday into Wednesday in The Wall Street Journal.

The president’s move is designed to force Riyadh to make a historic decision and return to the peace track by using unprecedented technological cooperation as a bargaining chip. The new agreement would grant American companies exclusivity and a central role in developing Saudi Arabia’s nuclear infrastructure, while blocking attempts by foreign powers like China and Russia to dominate this strategic market.

But the deal is sparking political and security uproar in Washington over a particularly controversial clause that allows potential uranium enrichment on Saudi soil. This marks a dramatic shift in American policy, as the United States has avoided for decades allowing Middle Eastern countries to possess such capabilities for fear of triggering a regional nuclear arms race. Under the plan’s details, both sides will conduct a two-year in-depth study examining the commercial viability of establishing an American enrichment facility in the Kingdom, under strict oversight ensuring that sensitive technology won’t be transferred to Saudi hands and the program will remain for peaceful purposes only.

The Saudis for their part view civilian nuclear power as a vital economic and energy need for the Kingdom’s continued growth. Riyadh wants to exploit uranium deposits found on its territory to supply local electricity and energy needs, thereby “freeing up” a large portion of its oil production for export abroad—a move expected to significantly increase its revenues. Despite the clear economic interest, the political condition Trump imposed has become the main obstacle to implementation.

Trump added the normalization requirement only after the nuclear agreement had already been formulated and signed, and he refuses to back down from it. An administration official confirmed that the president’s position remains unchanged: the nuclear agreement won’t advance without Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords and establishing open relations with Israel. Now, with the agreement’s submission to Congress, months of intense debates among lawmakers are expected, but legally they’ll have a very hard time blocking the move.

To block the agreement, Congress would need a special two-thirds majority to override a potential presidential veto by Trump. While Saudi Arabia was close to normalization during the Biden administration, the process froze completely following Hamas’s October 7 massacre and the war in Gaza. Now, Trump is trying to use the nuclear agreement as a final pressure lever to bring the Kingdom back to the negotiating table with Israel, while ignoring criticism from oversight organizations warning that uranium enrichment on Saudi soil—even under American management—is a dangerous precedent that could change the security balance in the Middle East forever.

Abbas: Recognized Jewish State Only to Enter Knesset

Ra’am (United Arab List) chairman Mansour Abbas published a revealing post in Arabic on Wednesday morning detailing his fundamental positions regarding the State of Israel. In the post, Abbas disclosed that the sole reason he ever recognized Israel as a Jewish state was because it was “forced” upon him as a legal prerequisite to run for parliament. “We were forced to accept this so that we would not be disqualified from running for the Knesset,” he stated explicitly.

מנסור עבאס: מדינה יהודית? נאלצנו לקבל זאת כדי לרוץ לכנסת

Addressing his past controversial remarks—including previous claims that “Zionist gangs conquered Palestine”—Abbas stressed that the shift in tone and phrasing across his recent Hebrew media appearances does not represent any renunciation of his national identity. Rebuffing criticism in the Israeli media, Abbas wrote: “The claim that I deny the Nakba, the displacement, or the Palestinian narrative is just another fabrication.”

“When right-wing figures confront me with statements from my past that actually prove the authenticity of my belonging, my identity, and my narrative, and I say that today—especially since we introduced the approach of partnership and influence in recent years—I phrase my remarks, ideas, and political approach differently, it does not mean in any way that I deny the Nakba, the displacement, or the Palestinian narrative,” Abbas clarified.

Photo: Noam Moskowitz, Knesset Spokesperson’s Office

According to Abbas, the “partnership and influence” strategy he championed is merely a tactical repackaging designed to leverage the Israeli political apparatus for national goals. He explained that participating in coalition politics is aimed at expressing the “truth of the Nakba” from a position of power: “Is it not possible that a different phrasing and political approach can actually express the truth of the Nakba, learn from historical experience accurately and smartly, and present a practical vision for the future? Does this not offer the ability to gain influence to address the injustices and wounds inherited from our ongoing Nakba, prevent new displacement in all its forms, and emerge from the historical narrative to write the future narrative we yearn for?”

These admissions follow Channel 14’s recent investigative series The Spotted Jihad, alongside Abbas’s demands during Ra’am’s national conference in Tayibe for Israel and the United States to recognize a “Palestinian state” and end the “occupation.” Abbas reiterated his goal of returning to a ruling Israeli coalition, asserting: “The State of Palestine exists, and most of the world recognizes it except the United States and Israel. We want them to recognize it as well, and we work toward peace, reconciliation, and ending the occupation and conflict.” For Abbas, political partnership within the Israeli establishment remains an operational instrument to achieve those exact ideological ends.

Shin Bet Joins Hunt for Haymanut Kasau After 910 Days

Following 910 days of disappearance and sustained public pressure demanding high-level security intervention, President Isaac Herzog and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) officially confirmed on Tuesday that the agency is now actively assisting the Israel Police in the ongoing investigation to locate missing child Haymanut Kasau.

President Herzog hosted Haymanut’s family at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, revealing that in recent direct consultations with Shin Bet Director David Zini, he was updated that the agency has mobilized operational and intelligence capabilities following a formal request from the Israel Police. Following the President’s public remarks, the Shin Bet issued a formal statement confirming its operational involvement: “The Shin Bet is actively assisting in operations supporting the investigation into the disappearance of Haymanut Kasau. By nature, as this remains an active investigation spearheaded by the Israel Police, specific operational details and the full scope of security assistance cannot be elaborated.”

“Haymanut is a child of the entire people of Israel, and all of Israel cares deeply for her,” Herzog told the family, stressing that the Shin Bet has stepped in “with full force” to aid search efforts, while commending the joint cooperation with police investigators. Haymanut vanished two and a half years ago from an absorption center in Safed during the height of the war. During the meeting, her father, Tesfaye Kasau, voiced profound frustration over the prolonged institutional delay: “We made every effort and met with every relevant official. We demanded Shin Bet intervention from the start. We fear there was hesitation or discrimination due to language gaps or skin color.”

Her 20-year-old sister, Yaros Kasau, delivered an emotional appeal describing the family’s protracted trauma: “We do not deserve the suffering we are going through. We know that with the Shin Bet involved, our nightmare can finally end. I am 20 years old and want to start living my life. Since 11th grade, instead of living like other girls my age, I have dealt only with searches and fighting for my sister. Haymanut is a little girl, and we don’t know what she is enduring.” Family advocate Tesfaye Bishaw emphasized that the formal entry of the Shin Bet brings renewed hope to a family that has held unwavering faith for 910 days that Haymanut remains alive, calling on the Israeli public to maintain their support until she is safely returned home.

Anti-Israel NGO Demands U.S. Prosecute Arieh King

The Hind Rajab Foundation, an organization dedicated in recent years to pursuing international legal proceedings against IDF soldiers and Israeli public officials, submitted a formal petition on Tuesday to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) demanding criminal prosecution against Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Arieh King ahead of his scheduled visit to the United States on August 31.

In its petition, the NGO alleges that King has been involved in the “unlawful transfer” of Arabs from eastern Jerusalem and “incitement to genocide.” The filing claims that through his municipal role and as the founder of the Israel Land Fund (ILF), King actively worked to evict Arab residents from properties in eastern Jerusalem neighborhoods to advance Jewish settlement. These allegations represent claims by the organization that have neither been reviewed nor accepted by American legal authorities.

The foundation cited King’s public initiatives in the Sheikh Jarrah (Shimon HaTzadik) and Silwan (Shiloah) neighborhoods, as well as past public statements regarding the war in Gaza and the UNRWA agency. The NGO claimed certain remarks meet the threshold for criminal incitement under U.S. law, urging the DOJ to initiate an investigation and pursue an indictment.

The action targeting King is part of a broader, systemic lawfare campaign waged by the Hind Rajab Foundation against Israeli military personnel and elected figures worldwide. The campaign regularly files cross-border legal complaints and requests for arrest warrants across various jurisdictions, frequently relying on social media posts and media appearances. Despite the proliferation of these legal filings, the vast majority have failed to advance into formal criminal proceedings. In June, the same organization similarly petitioned the U.S. Department of Justice demanding legal action against National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir during a planned visit to the United States.

IDF Approves 18 New Judea & Samaria Jurisdictions

The Head of the IDF Central Command, Major General Avi Bluth, signed official orders on Tuesday designating 18 new municipal jurisdictions for Jewish communities across Judea and Samaria, encompassing newly established towns, young pioneer settlements, and veteran localities. The move is part of the strategic policy spearheaded by Finance Minister and Defense Ministry Minister Bezalel Smotrich to expand and legally regularize Jewish settlement, bringing the total number of newly advanced jurisdictions to 70 in under a year.

Among the communities receiving newly delineated jurisdictions are Diah in the Binyamin region; Sa-Nur East and Shira in Samaria; Elisha and Tzuri in the Jordan Valley; alongside Keren Ya’ar, Masu’ot Har, Givat Adullam, and Pnei Kedem in Gush Etzion. In parallel, amended jurisdiction boundaries were signed for established towns, including Leshem, Itamar, and Rehan in Samaria, as well as Maskiyot in the Jordan Valley.

The initiative paves the way for extensive physical expansion across several regional councils:

    • Karnei Shomron: The Dorot neighborhood is slated to expand and integrate into the council’s umbrella agreement with the Israel Land Authority.

    • Efrat: The expansion of the Givat HaEitam neighborhood will enable the construction of thousands of new housing units.

    • Oranit: The local council will expand for the first time beyond the security barrier, unlocking hundreds of new housing units to the north.

Minister Smotrich welcomed the signing, calling it “another significant milestone in the ongoing revolution across Judea and Samaria,” highlighting that 70 jurisdictional frameworks have been established in less than 12 months to fortify both pioneer and established communities. Smotrich added: “In the face of an Eisenkot-Lieberman-Golan political axis that seeks and plans to evacuate communities and establish a ‘Palestinian’ state—we are strengthening, developing, and fortifying Jewish settlement on the ground.”

  • Israel Orders PA to Pay 3.3M NIS to Tortured Arab Resident

Israel Orders PA to Pay 3.3M NIS to Tortured Arab Resident

The Jerusalem District Court has ordered the ‘Palestinian Authority’ to pay approximately NIS 3.34 million in damages to an Arab resident who was arbitrarily arrested, detained for five years, and subjected to brutal torture after being accused of attempting to sell private land to Jews. The victim filed the civil lawsuit against the ‘PA’ in the Israeli judicial system, and the awarded damages will be collected directly via tax clearance withholding mechanisms—analogous to the compensation framework established for victims of terror.

The ruling was handed down by Judge Haya Zandberg following a claim filed by a resident of As-Samu through attorney Barak Kedem, partner at the Arbus Kedem Tzur law firm. The plaintiff had sought to sell family-owned real estate to a resident of the Jewish community of Shim’a. However, the ‘Palestinian Authority’ treated the land sale to an Israeli national as a grave security felony classified under its criminal chapter on “treason.”

The plaintiff was initially abducted in February 2014 by the ‘PA’s’ Preventative Security Service. Three months later, an indictment was filed charging him with attempting to “transfer Palestinian lands to the enemy.” In 2016, he was convicted by a ‘PA’ court in Hebron and sentenced to five years of hard labor and a fine. An appeal filed with the ‘PA’ appellate court in Ramallah was dismissed, keeping him incarcerated until February 2019.

The Israeli court ruled that the arrest and entire five-year imprisonment were fundamentally unlawful. Judge Zandberg determined that an Israeli court cannot recognize the sale of land to Israelis as “treason” merely based on the buyers’ Israeli identity. The ruling revealed harrowing evidentiary testimonies detailing the systemic physical abuse the plaintiff endured inside “PA” facilities. During interrogations, he was handcuffed and shackled by his feet to an iron chair for grueling hours in stress positions, confined to subterranean solitary confinement, and bound behind his back so violently that he collapsed whenever cell doors opened, all while facing ceaseless humiliation and abuse.

The plaintiff described how “PA” interrogators battered him with clubs and heavy objects while his head was hooded. During freezing winter periods, he was left exposed outdoors while guards drenched him in ice-cold water, alongside systematic deprivation of food, sleep, and basic sanitation. In the Dahiriya detention facility, the abuse escalated in a specialized ward dubbed “Sharon’s Cell”—reserved for individuals suspected of collaborating with Israel or transacting real estate with Jews. Masked “PA” guards routinely raided the cell to beat inmates with batons, causing the plaintiff to lose consciousness on multiple occasions.

Fellow inmates corroborated the accounts, testifying they witnessed the plaintiff being beaten with batons, dragged into solitary confinement, stepped on, and chained to cell bars throughout entire nights. The plaintiff maintained that all confessions were extracted under severe torture, identifying specific interrogators who stripped and beat him; the “PA” failed to produce these officers to testify in court. A medical examination from December 2014 documented abrasions across his back, hand trauma, and chronic pain. The court concluded that the “Palestinian Authority” engaged in “genuine, severe violence” amounting to actionable civil battery. The court awarded total damages and legal fees amounting to NIS 3,340,000.

Attorney Barak Kedem, who represented the plaintiff, stated: “This verdict exposes once again the horrific reality behind the ‘Palestinian Authority’s’ persecution policy against Arabs who dare to sell land to Jews. Financial compensation cannot return the stolen years or erase the physical trauma, but the judgment delivers an unmistakable message: anyone who persecutes, imprisons, and tortures an individual over ties with Jews and Israelis will be held financially accountable. We will continue fighting so that every ‘Palestinian’ harmed by the ‘PA’s’ persecutory apparatus receives full justice and maximal compensation.”

  • OpenAI Busts Fake Israeli Think Tank Run by Russia

OpenAI Busts Fake Israeli Think Tank Run by Russia

Artificial intelligence developer OpenAI revealed on Tuesday that it has disrupted a sophisticated, covert Russian influence operation that leveraged ChatGPT accounts to establish and promote a fictitious research institute falsely claiming to be based in Israel. The Russian operators utilized Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to circumvent geographic platform restrictions, directing the language models to generate social media posts and replies in English and German while deliberately disguising Russian linguistic traces. The propaganda network was systematically deployed across X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Substack, and Telegram.

    Image

Fake Research Institute with Israeli Address

At the heart of the campaign stood an entity branded as the “International Burke Institute” (IBI), whose domain was registered in February 2025 boasting a physical address in Israel. The website presented itself as a prestigious “expert community,” deceptively listing the names of world-renowned scholars and public intellectuals. However, an audit conducted by OpenAI on a sample of 36 articles published by the institute revealed that 34 had been plagiarized directly from legitimate academic publications and falsely attributed, alongside poorly structured texts translated via automated tools from Slavic languages.

The sham institute served as a launchpad to publish a fabricated “Sovereignty Index” designed to portray the Russian Federation in an overwhelmingly positive light while systematically smearing Western democracies opposed to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. Fabricated reports attacked the United States, France, Germany, and the European Union to erode public trust in Western institutions. Concurrently, another operator generated AI profile graphics and branding for dozens of regional Telegram channels pushing masked pro-Kremlin narratives.

The Israeli Connection and Exposure of the Infrastructure

A particularly concerning finding in the threat intelligence report indicates that a small number of real individuals residing in Israel ostensibly represented the IBI institute by submitting academic papers and attending professional conferences. OpenAI stated that it cannot definitively establish the precise relationship between those Israeli individuals and the network operators in Russia, or whether they acted in good faith after being deceived by the fake institute’s legitimate façade.

    OpenAI | Photo: Shutterstock

Despite the elaborate digital infrastructure, OpenAI assesses that the campaign’s organic reach and viral impact remained relatively constrained, with most social media posts generating negligible engagement and Telegram channels drawing limited subscriber pools. Nevertheless, the company warned that the operation represents an alarming escalation in how state-linked threat actors harness generative AI to fabricate scientific credibility, obfuscate state propaganda sources, and undermine global information integrity.

Cabinet Erupts Over Gaza Violations: ‘Not Even a Kite’

With Hamas scheduled to begin surrendering its weapons in approximately three weeks under the implementation timeline presented by Jared Kushner, and set against an Israeli ultimatum demanding an immediate halt to cross-border violations, sharp tensions erupted during Monday’s Security Cabinet meeting over the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip and the scope of military retaliation.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for a drastic escalation in military response thresholds: “For every explosive kite, we should be counting terrorist bodies. Enough with proportional responses—both in Gaza and against the ‘Palestinian Authority,’ which needs to be wiped out entirely.” Minister Orit Strock urged a strategic pivot regarding international oversight bodies, insisting on blocking third-party deployments into the Strip: “We must withdraw our backing from the Peace Council and ensure no outside force enters Gaza.” Concurrently, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich questioned the post-war governance reality, asking during deliberations: “How can it be that Hamas still exists in Gaza at all?”

Defense Minister Israel Katz pushed back on allegations of restraint, affirming that the defense establishment will not tolerate ongoing provocations from the terrorist group: “There is no containment in Gaza. We must not allow them a single kite or a single balloon.” Amid ministerial pressure, the Peace Council also addressed the recent surge in violations, confirming it delivered a direct warning that all hostile cross-border activity emerging from the Strip must cease immediately, explicitly including the launch of kites and airborne incendiary devices.

The internal cabinet friction comes as the clock runs down on Jared Kushner’s regional framework, which mandates that Hamas commence the structured handover of its arsenal within three weeks, alongside Israel’s strict ultimatum demanding an immediate cessation of hostile probes. Israeli political and defense echelons are closely tracking Hamas’s conduct on the ground as the deadline approaches for the next critical test of the Gaza agreements.

  • A Kite Is a Missile: Hamas’s Dangerous Test for Israel

A Kite Is a Missile: Hamas’s Dangerous Test for Israel

The kites crossing into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip are not innocent children’s toys. They are calculated trial balloons deployed by the enemy—operational probes designed to test Israeli vigilance, measure military reaction times, and determine whether Israel is gradually slipping back into the disastrous pre-war paradigm of containment, restraint, and rationalization. We cannot afford to walk into that fatal trap again.

Kite located at the Gaza border | Photo: According to Section 27A

The catastrophe of October 7 did not begin on that fateful morning. It was seeded years earlier, when Israel normalized incendiary balloons, explosive kites, orchestrated border riots, fence approaches, and “measured” projectile fire. Each time, policymakers produced a fresh excuse for why responding was unwise. The public was repeatedly assured that Hamas was deterred, interested in quiet, and that each violation was merely an “isolated incident.” This is precisely how the failed conceptzia was constructed—concession by concession, restraint by restraint. The devastating price was ultimately paid by the residents of the Gaza envelope and the entire nation.

Therefore, in the post-October 7 era, the operational rule must be unequivocal: a kite must be treated as a rocket. Not because every kite carries lethal payload capacity, but because every cross-border incursion into sovereign Israeli territory represents a violation of sovereignty, a deliberate test of red lines, and a creeping threat that must never be normalized. Hamas rules the Strip; therefore, Hamas bears total responsibility for everything that originates from it. If a kite crosses the perimeter fence, the address is the Hamas regime. Whoever chooses to govern the Gaza Strip will pay the full military price for every hostile act emerging from its territory.

Hamas terrorists in the Strip, Archive | Photo: Flash90

The Israeli response must be swift, tangible, and overwhelmingly deterrent. Not a bureaucratic promise that the incident “will be investigated,” and not waiting for the next escalation. Security forces must hunt down launch squads, eradicate the phenomenon at the source, and exact a painful military and infrastructural toll from Hamas. The strategic objective is not to get dragged into a wide war over a single kite, but to prevent a major war by establishing crushing deterrence from the very first provocation. The operational baseline must be crystal clear: nothing crosses from Gaza toward Israel without an immediate military response. No rockets, no drones, no balloons, and no kites. There are no harmless airborne tools and no minor breaches that can be brushed aside. Anyone testing Israel’s perimeter must encounter a fully mobilized, decisive nation capable of unpredictable and disproportionate force.

Deterrence is not established through speeches or social media statements. It is forged when the enemy knows with absolute certainty that every hostile action will cost far more than it could ever yield—when every provocation is met with a devastating response that delivers one unmistakable message: Do not test us again.

The era of patience is over. The policy of containment is dead. The days when the enemy could advance step by step while Israel waited for creeping threats to metastasize into catastrophe are gone. The mandate going forward is absolute: Whoever launches a kite will lose a strategic asset. Whoever tests our border will meet overwhelming fire. And whoever attempts to drag Israel back to October 6 will discover that post-October 7 Israel does not hesitate, does not contain, and does not grant second chances. The people of Israel will never again serve as Hamas’s testing ground.

Tommy Robinson Slams Activists, Defends Israeli Soccer Star

The anti-Israel provocation that unfolded overnight in London, when pro-‘Palestinian’ activists descended on West Ham United’s Rush Green training ground and hung PLO flags in an effort to pressure the club into removing Manor Solomon, continues to spark outrage across Britain. The activists circulated a video openly explaining the purpose of their campaign, but quickly faced a fierce backlash from West Ham supporters on social media, who rallied behind the Israeli national team winger and condemned racism and incitement in soccer.

The controversy has now escalated further with the intervention of prominent British political activist Tommy Robinson, who launched a blistering attack on those behind the demonstration. Robinson shared footage of the flags hanging outside the Hammers’ training ground and condemned what he described as an attempt to inject extremist ideology into sports and intimidate both the London club and its Israeli player.

Robinson accused the demonstrators of attempting to mark territory and frighten the public. “These are people imposing their awful ideology in an attempt to mark territory and intimidate people,” Robinson said. He followed with a blunt, one-word demand that quickly gained attention online: “Deport.”

Robinson’s response joins a broader wave of support Solomon has received from local fans in London, as the Israeli star prepares for a highly anticipated cup clash against Southampton and Daniel Peretz. The repeated provocations away from the pitch have so far failed to distract Solomon from his objective, as the Israeli star remains determined to deliver his response to his opponents where it matters most—on the field.
