A violent Thursday night saw two young men murdered in Tamra and Baqa al-Gharbiyye, a young woman found dead with signs of trauma in the Negev, and nine others wounded in shootings across five Arab towns—underscoring the spiraling crime crisis.

A brutal sequence of murders and shootings Thursday night illustrated the loss of control over crime in Arab society. Within hours, two young men were killed in Tamra and Baqa al-Gharbiyye, a young woman was found dead with signs of trauma on her body, and nine others were wounded across five communities.

The incidents took place in Tamra, Nazareth, Baqa al-Gharbiyye, Qalansawe, and Kafr Qasim. Another case is being investigated in the Navtim Bedouin settlement in the Negev. At this stage, no connection has been reported between the different scenes.

In Tamra, a 22-year-old man was killed and two other men were seriously and critically wounded. Police opened an investigation and said the motive was criminal. Initial reports mentioned two victims in serious and moderate condition, but later updates confirmed the young man’s death and reported two additional wounded.

Meanwhile, a man around 45 was shot in Nazareth and seriously wounded. His identity has not been released. Officers who rushed to the scene began searching for suspects and collecting evidence. In this case too, police said the motive was criminal.

One Dead, Four Wounded in Baqa

The most serious incident occurred in Baqa al-Gharbiyye. At 9:19 p.m., Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service, received a report of multiple casualties in a shooting in the city. Medical teams found a man around 25 with no pulse and no breathing and were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.

Three other wounded men, ages 30, 25, and 22, were taken to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in serious condition suffering from penetrating injuries. A 27-year-old man was taken to Laniado Hospital in moderate condition.

Police opened an investigation and said the motive appears to be criminal. Officers began searching for suspects and collecting evidence from the scene.

Two additional shooting scenes opened within a short time in Qalansawe and Kafr Qasim. From each scene, one shooting victim was taken to the hospital. Officers from the Tayibe and Kafr Qasim stations began extensive searches and evidence collection. According to initial suspicion, both incidents occurred against a criminal background.

Young Woman Found Dead

In the Navtim settlement, a woman in her 20s was found dead in her home with signs of trauma on her body. Officers from the Aroer station and forensic investigators arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the circumstances of her death.

Her body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine to determine cause of death. Police emphasized that at this stage all investigative directions are being examined and they have not yet determined it was a murder. Hours earlier, the young woman’s brother was killed in a traffic accident in the Negev.

By evening’s end, two young men were murdered, another young woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances, and nine people were wounded—six of them seriously and three with other degrees of injury. Police opened separate investigations at all scenes.
