Gilad Kariv, number 3 in the Democrats party, delivered a clear message today (Thursday) about the left’s plan. Kariv said in a video call that his party is conducting the dialogue with Ra’am and Mansour Abbas—despite this contradicting commitments made by some of the parties in his bloc.
Kariv: “We are also leading the dialogue and the relationship with Mansour Abbas. This negotiation, and it’s important for me to say, is very, very complex. They made all kinds of commitments to their public that we thought were wrong, both from a values standpoint and from a political standpoint.”

He added: “You can understand the sensitivities, the considerations, the desire of every party chairman to keep cards close to the chest, but know that the discourse is taking place throughout the opposition and the change camp. We need to talk with people, we need to prepare hearts.”
His party colleague, Yaya Fink, also said: “In the last three days I’ve been posting dozens of posts to social media, explaining why Arabs are allowed to be doctors and build houses, so they’re also allowed to take part in decision-making.”
