Israeli police seized drugs with an estimated street value of roughly 90 million shekels (about $30 million) during a raid on a compound in Moshav Ahisamakh in central Israel. Authorities described the operation as one of the largest drug busts in Israel in recent years.
1+Detectives from the Jerusalem District’s Central Unit raided a compound that allegedly served as a distribution hub for a large-scale trafficking network. Officers seized a vehicle loaded with massive quantities of drugs that were about to be distributed, according to investigators.
The haul included roughly 94 kg of suspected cocaine, about 39 kg of suspected ecstasy pills, around 25 kg of suspected MDMA, hundreds of ketamine vials, suspected “dosa” substance, LSD vials, and additional loose drugs.
1+Three suspects in their 20s, all residents of central Israel, were arrested on suspicion of managing and distributing the drugs. A magistrate’s court extended their detention until September 23.
“We dealt a severe blow to the criminals spreading this poison,” said Commander Amichai Panta, chief investigator of the Jerusalem District’s Central Unit. “We managed to expose and cut off one of the major supply arteries of the drug scourge in Israel.”
