C14 has learned that Netanyahu plans to visit SpaceX facilities in Texas en route to next week’s UN General Assembly, with a meeting with Elon Musk also taking shape ahead of his Thursday address.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to make a special working visit to SpaceX facilities in Texas on his way to the UN General Assembly in New York next week, with a meeting with billionaire Elon Musk also reportedly taking shape.

As part of his participation in the General Assembly, Netanyahu is expected to address the main stage on Thursday at 2 p.m. U.S. time (9 p.m. Israel time). The timing of the speech is deliberately geared toward Israeli prime time, with the content expected to be aimed at the Israeli public ahead of the elections no less than at the international audience.

Meanwhile, preparations for the General Assembly have been accompanied by diplomatic drama surrounding the U.S. State Department’s decision to deny Mahmoud Abbas and members of the ‘Palestinian’ Authority delegation entry to the United States over support for terrorism, incitement and appeals to international courts—forcing Abbas to address the gathering by video instead. The U.S. visa denial was confirmed Thursday.

On the sidelines of the General Assembly, efforts are also being considered to arrange a meeting between Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump, although no meeting has yet been formally scheduled. This comes despite New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s threats regarding Netanyahu’s arrival in the city; Mamdani has previously acknowledged that he does not have the authority to enforce the ICC warrant himself.

Netanyahu is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on Thursday, Sept. 24.
