Netanyahu: “We’ll Settle Accounts With Everyone”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Sunday), on the eve of Yom Kippur, that he has instructed the IDF and Shin Bet to operate with reinforced forces in Judea and Samaria following the deadly terror attack in Binyamin. According to his statement, forces were ordered to impose closures, carry out offensive operations and arrests, and act to demolish the terrorist’s home immediately.

Netanyahu said security forces are conducting a determined pursuit of the terrorist who carried out the attack. “No terrorist is immune, not even those who helped them—we’ll settle accounts with everyone: in Gaza, in Lebanon, and in Judea and Samaria,” the prime minister declared. At the same time, he noted that security forces killed a terrorist who attempted to carry out another attack in Samaria.

At the end of his statement, the prime minister sent condolences to the victim’s family: “On behalf of all the citizens of Israel, my wife and I send heartfelt condolences to the family of the victim of the attack and share in their heavy grief.”

President Isaac Herzog also addressed the severe attack, saying: “The murderous terror attack in Binyamin at the opening of Yom Kippur, as the people of Israel gather for the holy day. I bow my head in memory of the victim, share deeply in the grief of his family and community, and pray for the recovery of the wounded. Even on this holy eve, we say clearly: terror will not break us and will not shake our spirit. Against it we will stand together—united, determined, and full of faith. May you be sealed for good.”

The jihadi terrorist who carried out a deadly shooting attack near Neveh Tzuf in the Binyamin region on Sunday morning was captured by Israeli security forces inside a Ramallah hospital, capping an intensive, multi-agency search launched during an escalating wave of terror plots across Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem. The victim of the fatal shooting was identified as Netanel Yonatan Shalbiya, an Israeli civilian from the Samaria community of Alei Zahav.

According to preliminary investigative findings from the scene, the terrorist arrived by car at the Ein Raya spring adjacent to Neveh Tzuf. Armed with a long firearm, he stepped out of the vehicle and opened fire at point-blank range on Shalbiya. An IDF tracker operating in the vicinity reacted immediately, opening fire and wounding the gunman before the assailant managed to flee the scene on foot. Elite undercover fighters from the Duvdevan unit, acting on precise tactical intelligence, tracked the perpetrator directly to a hospital inside the ‘Palestinian’ Authority stronghold of Ramallah. Operating deep inside the city, the forces located the wounded terrorist lying in a hospital bed, hooked up to a mechanical ventilator, and took him into custody.

Following the fatal attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the IDF and the Shin Bet (ISA) to operate with reinforced combat contingents across Judea and Samaria. Under the Prime Minister’s directive, security forces were instructed to enforce strict localized closures, execute preemptive offensive raids and arrests, and advance the immediate demolition of the terrorist’s home.

The deadly incident at Ein Raya marked the spearhead of a concentrated sequence of violent attacks and attempted vehicular rammings across multiple sectors within a span of under three hours:

    • 11:30 AM — Deadly Shooting at Ein Raya: An Islamic terrorist murdered Netanel Yonatan Shalbiya before an IDF tracker engaged and wounded the fleeing shooter.

    • 12:00 PM — Violent Ambush in the City of David: Arab rioters ambushed Jewish teenagers in the City of David in Jerusalem, hurling barrages of stones. An armed Jewish resident fired warning shots into the air, driving off the assailants and extracting the youths without physical injuries.

    • 12:36 PM — Ramming Attempt at Ganim Checkpoint: A terrorist attempted to ram soldiers positioned at the Ganim checkpoint in northern Samaria—tactical forces engaged with precision fire, neutralizing the terrorist on the spot without sustaining casualties.

    • 1:08 PM — Rescue Operation in Mount Hebron: An Israeli civilian mistakenly drove into an Arab village in the Mount Hebron region and was violently assaulted by local rioters. Reinforced tactical units scrambled into the village and successfully extracted the wounded driver.

    • 1:39 PM — Attempted Truck Ramming at Rimonim Junction: A truck driver attempted a vehicular ramming targeting soldiers on Route 458 at the Rimonim roundabout. The driver was detained on site by troops and transferred for immediate security interrogation.

    • 1:42 PM — Hit-and-Run Ramming Attempt near Silwad: An unplated grey vehicle attempted to run down two Israeli civilians from the Givat Yeshuat Yisrael outpost along the Gali’in route, near the Silwad cemetery junction. The civilians evaded impact, and security forces mobilized in pursuit of the fleeing suspect.

IDF Central Command and border defense forces remain deployed at elevated readiness, maintaining intensive security barriers and intelligence sweeps across all central arteries. Meanwhile, Israeli heartland governors came out with harsh responses to today’s murder and 5 foiled terror attacks in Israel:

Governor Yisrael Ganz of Binyamin called for no less than dismantling the ‘Palestinian’ Authority, “Judea and Samaria are flooded with illegal weapons, and the Palestinian Authority’s security forces possess tens of thousands of weapons that could be turned against us. Nearly three years after October 7, we must not wait for another disaster. I call on the Government of Israel to immediately launch a broad operation to collect illegal weapons, dismantle terrorist infrastructure, and disarm the Palestinian Authority and its security forces.”

Samaria Governor Yossi Dagan wrote, “I demand that the security forces intensify operations inside the villages, going house-to-house, confiscating illegal weapons, and dismantling terror infrastructure,” also calling for renewed security checkpoints on roads.

Having been captured alive, the perpetrator could become the first terrorist executed under Israel’s recently enacted capital punishment legislation for convicted terrorists. Reacting to the capture, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir demanded the statutory maximum penalty: “In this case, there is a mandatory sentence, and we therefore demand this punishment be applied, and the execution of the terrorist carried out. The law is the law.”

The terrorist, who shot and murdered Netanel Yonatan Shalbiya at the Ein Raya spring, was apprehended by Israeli security forces inside a hospital in Ramallah. Undercover tactical fighters from the Duvdevan unit tracked the shooter to the medical facility, finding him lying in a hospital bed and connected to a mechanical ventilator. The terrorist sustained critical injuries when an IDF tracker stationed near the point of the attack engaged him with gunfire immediately following the shooting, wounding him before he fled toward Ramallah.

IDF Eliminates Oct. 7 Hamas Terrorist in Khan Yunis

Israeli forces operating in the Khan Yunis area on Thursday eliminated Muhammad Suleiman Bayuk, a terrorist within the military wing of the Hamas terror organization who took part in the cross-border invasion of Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed. According to the military statement, throughout the war and especially over recent weeks, Bayuk actively planted improvised explosive devices (IEDs) across the Gaza Strip aimed at striking Israeli combat troops.

Military authorities further revealed that Bayuk systematically advanced terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, worked to upgrade the combat readiness of Hamas terrorists, and spearheaded efforts to rehabilitate the terror group’s operational infrastructure in deliberate violation of the ceasefire. The IDF emphasized that the targeted strike was carried out to remove an immediate operational threat decisively.

IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed throughout the sector under operational frameworks and will continue to operate resolutely to neutralize any emerging threats.

  • Israel Cracks Three Back-to-Back Axis Spy Rings

Israel Cracks Three Back-to-Back Axis Spy Rings

Three distinct state security cases were uncovered in rapid succession on Friday (18.09), all sharing a glaring common denominator: systematic attempts by hostile external entities to establish contacts within Israel and Judea and Samaria, recruiting domestic operatives to carry out security and intelligence missions against the state during wartime.

In the first case, security forces detained a Palestinian woman in her 30s, a resident of the village of Beitin in Samaria employed as a correspondent for an Iranian-affiliated media outlet. The Samaria Crime Fighting Unit (YALP) in the Judea and Samaria Police District is examining the scope of her direct ties with operatives of the Iranian regime, alongside suspicions of trading with the enemy, incitement to terrorism, supporting a hostile organization, and undermining the security operations of IDF forces. A military court extended her remand by seven days, until September 23.

Shortly after, authorities revealed a second espionage affair in the north. The Haifa District Attorney’s Office filed a severe indictment against Sultan Abu al-Heija, a 31-year-old Israeli citizen from Tamra. An intensive investigation by the Shin Bet and the Central Unit (Yamar) of the Northern District Police revealed that Abu al-Heija proactively initiated multiple contacts with the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades—the armed wing of Hamas in Gaza—offering covert support from within Israel. Furthermore, he established direct contact with Iranian intelligence elements. Security forces intercepted him before he could execute tactical operational directives assigned by his handlers in Tehran.

The third affair was likewise uncovered in the Galilee by the Shin Bet and the Lahav 433 National Crime Unit (Yahbal), who arrested Hamdan Hamdan, a 32-year-old resident of Majd al-Krum. The Coastal District Attorney’s Office is set to file a severe indictment against him on Sunday for maintaining contact with a foreign agent and executing security missions under her direction. Investigators established that over several months, Hamdan maintained continuous contact with a female operative from Lebanon while fully aware of her identity and ties to an enemy state. The Lebanese handler compensated him through an evasion scheme, purchasing commercial goods inside Israel and transferring them to him to circumvent financial monitoring systems.

While each of the three cases features distinct operational mechanics, together they illustrate the multi-pronged methods enemy networks use to gain a domestic foothold: from direct communication with terror organizations and intelligence services to task-oriented field operations to covert financial remuneration.

The Shin Bet and Israel Police have issued repeated public warnings against unsolicited overtures from foreign actors, particularly on social media networks seeking to solicit espionage services. The multi-front arrests follow the landmark sentencing earlier this week of Petah Tikva resident Alexander Gronovsky, who received 13.5 years in prison after confessing to operating on behalf of an Iranian agent—what state prosecutors described as the harshest sentence ever handed down in cases of this nature.

In one of the most dramatic raids, police detectives and Border Police stormed a residential building in the Muslim town of Hebron following intelligence. On the building’s roof—which overlooks a military installation—forces found a rare MG-34 heavy machine gun along with approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. In a parallel operation in the Muslim village of Beit Ummar, forces discovered a Carlo-type weapon and arrested a suspect in his 30s.

Last night, forces conducted a rapid raid in the Muslim village of Fasayil in the Jordan Valley, where they seized a hunting rifle that was confiscated on site. In another operation last night at the Shuafat refugee camp, forces found M16 weapon parts, weapon bodies, a ceramic vest, and ammunition. A suspect in his 20s was arrested at the scene. Security officials emphasized that the determined operations will continue to prevent weapons stockpiling and maintain security.
