Israeli forces completed a targeted operation against terror infrastructure in Hebron’s Hamula neighborhood Monday morning and withdrew from the area after nine consecutive days of activity.
The operation, aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure and strengthening security, saw troops conduct hundreds of searches, arrest and interrogate dozens of suspects, and seize significant military equipment, including four weapons and several vests. Forces also sealed an underground tunnel discovered near the home of the terrorist who carried out the attack.

As part of immediate lessons learned after the attack, forces demolished illegal infrastructure in the area and carried out additional engineering operations to reshape the terrain. A week later, troops demolished the homes of both terrorists. Alongside this, forces launched a broad effort against illegal vehicles known as “mashtubas,” confiscating 25 vehicles similar to the one used by the terrorists in the attack.
Against the backdrop of the operation’s completion, political officials said approval was given to the IDF’s request to end the operation, subject to two key conditions: deepening the use of a new tool for evacuating populations in urban areas following terror attacks, and sending a firm message to the ‘Palestinian’ Authority that another attack will lead to an even broader evacuation.
