U.S. rapper Macklemore took the stage in London wearing a "Free Marwan" shirt, demanding the release of arch-terrorist Marwan Barghouti. The rapper even brought Barghouti's son on stage to address the crowd at OVO Arena Wembley. Barghouti is serving 5 life sentences in Israel for the murder of 5 people.

American rapper Macklemore has triggered widespread condemnation after turning his London concert into a platform celebrating ‘Palestinian’ terrorism, appearing on stage wearing a custom shirt calling for the release of convicted mass murderer Marwan Barghouti and inviting the arch-terrorist’s son to address thousands of attendees.

The performance, held Friday at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, served as the final show of his European tour, which included earlier stops at Dublin’s 3Arena and Paris’s Accor Arena.

Throughout the tour, the hip-hop artist mobilized radical activists, including Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg and British singer Paloma Faith, under the guise of charitable fundraising. However,

the London finale moved beyond standard anti-Israel rhetoric into the explicit glorification of convicted murderers and terrorists.

Macklemore walked out before the sellout crowd wearing a tailored T-shirt bearing the words “Free Marwan”—an obvious public demand for the release of Barghouti, the former leader of Fatah’s Tanzim militant terrorist faction who has been incarcerated in an Israeli maximum-security prison since his capture by IDF forces during Operation Defensive Shield in 2002.

The rapper deepened the provocation by bringing Barghouti’s son, Arab Barghouthi, directly onto the stage.

Addressing the arena, the younger Barghouti delivered an ideological address attempting to cast his father’s decades-long prison sentence as a political struggle, drawing parallels to global campaigns against South African apartheid.

Despite efforts to rebrand him as a political activist, Barghouti remains a convicted killer and terrorist serving five consecutive life terms for deadly terror attacks.

In May 2004, following an extensive criminal trial at the Tel Aviv District Court, Barghouti was convicted on five counts of premeditated murder, one count of attempted murder, and multiple charges of heading a designated terrorist entity.

Among the primary atrocities for which Barghouti was found responsible was the March 2002 assault on the Seafood Market restaurant on Bridge Street in Tel Aviv, where a Tanzim gunman armed with assault rifles and grenades murdered three civilians and wounded dozens of restaurant patrons. Barghouti was additionally convicted of planning two fatal ambush shootings on Israeli roadways:

the June 2001 murder of a Greek Orthodox monk near Jerusalem and the January 2002 killing of an Israeli civilian near Givat Ze’ev.

The court sentenced him to five consecutive life terms alongside an additional cumulative sentence of 40 years’ imprisonment. During his trial, Barghouti refused to mount a formal legal defense, rejected the jurisdiction of the Israeli judiciary, and denied personal complicity despite overwhelming documentation and testimonies from his tactical commanders.

Macklemore’s embrace of convicted terrorists marks an escalation in his anti-Israel activism.

The artist was dropped from a planned support slot on Ed Sheeran’s U.S. tour in September following pushback over his political statements.

Rather than walking back his stance, Macklemore has doubled down across European arenas, utilizing prominent entertainment venues to normalize individuals with civilian blood on their hands.
