Soldiers from the 101st and 6162nd battalions, under the Judea Brigade, carried out a targeted daylight operation today (Thursday) in the Hebron and Dura areas. The mission was designed to remove and destroy monuments and signs glorifying terrorists and promoting terror in the region.
Security officials say monuments and signs like these serve as a central tool for incitement, glorifying operatives and encouraging further attacks. The swift, overt operation in the heart of the area was meant to uproot incitement hubs and prevent the potential escalation they generate.
At the same time, Civil Administration forces led a targeted enforcement operation in the Tarqumiyah area, also in the Judea Brigade sector, using the supervision unit. As part of this effort, authorities took action against an illegal structure involved in systematic water theft from a Mekorot company line, part of the ongoing effort to maintain law and order and protect infrastructure in the area.
