Israel’s Central Elections Committee announced that as of 8:00 PM, national voter turnout for the 26th Knesset elections reached 74.3%—compared to 66% at the same time in the previous election. A total of 5,449,277 voters cast their ballots by that hour.
The committee praised the broad public participation on election day and thanked the many voters who came out to exercise their right to vote and make their voices heard.
The figures were presented at a 9:00 PM press conference held by Attorney Din Livneh, acting director-general of the committee, at the committee’s control center in the Knesset.
National turnout updates will be released every two hours until 11:00 PM.
