Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called President Donald Trump twice on Thursday, urging him to strike the Houthi rebels. According to a report by Axios citing two U.S. officials, Trump rejected the Saudi request.

U.S. officials also made clear that the administration in Washington does not intend, for now, to take an active and direct military role against the Houthis.
