Israel will send another 5 tons of aid to Colombia tonight (Saturday night into Sunday), including emergency medical equipment. The shipment is being sent at the direction of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and in coordination with the Health Ministry, following the severe earthquake in the country.
The aid joins the work of a joint Foreign Ministry and Home Front Command delegation of about 80 rescue and medical personnel. The team arrived in Colombia about a week ago and is operating in the country as part of efforts to help deal with the earthquake’s aftermath.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said: “Israel will continue to stand alongside its friend Colombia and the Colombian people and will help them to the best of its ability.”
