Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited the Northern Command today (Wednesday) and sent a message to Hezbollah. During a situation assessment he held with the 91st Division, the chief of staff said the IDF will not allow the terror organization to establish itself at the border. During his visit, Zamir was introduced to an innovative combat model: the ‘Robotic Combat Team,’ designed to boost operational effectiveness.

Northern Command chief Maj. accompanied the chief of staff. Gen. Uri Gordin, Ground Forces Commander Maj. Gen. Nadav Lotan, and 91st Division Commander Brig. Gen. Yuval Gaz. Zamir emphasized the IDF’s commitment to the security of northern residents and said: “We will not allow Hezbollah to establish terror infrastructure in the area. Any attempt by the enemy to establish itself, strengthen, or threaten northern communities will be met immediately and forcefully.”
The chief of staff addressed Hezbollah’s activities and said that “during the war, Hezbollah proved once again that it is an Iranian proxy and that it is not a ‘Lebanese patriot.’ Its actions harmed the interests of the state of Lebanon and its citizens.” He added that “the IDF is alert to developments in near and far arenas and is ready to strike at any enemy that tries to harm us, as we have done in the past.”

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the ‘Robotic Combat Team’ by the 769th Brigade and the 869th Intelligence Collection Battalion. The chief of staff praised the innovative model: “The model reinforces the principle that the IDF is ahead of civilians and the innovative concept that robotic and technological means are ahead of and alongside the forces. In doing so, you increase operational effectiveness and strengthen the protection of our forces.”
At the end of his remarks, the chief of staff instructed commanders to accelerate the integration of robotic capabilities into combat forces to create operational advantage and superiority. He praised the Northern Command for its determined fighting against Hezbollah over the past three years: “The achievements you led are a source of enormous pride and will be etched in the legacy of the IDF for generations.”
