The ceremony was attended by Paris Deputy Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire, representatives of CRIF (the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France), and officials from other organizations.
Paris officials said the Bibas family has become a global symbol in the fight to free the hostages and commemorate the victims of the massacre since October 7. Kfir Bibas, who was just nine months old when he was kidnapped, was the youngest hostage.

City officials emphasized that the public memorial is meant to preserve the memory of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir and to strengthen the commitment to fighting antisemitism, racism and all forms of discrimination.
The Paris tribute is part of a series of memorial events around the world marking three years since the October 7 massacre, including ceremonies, rallies and events organized by Israeli missions in various countries.
