Protests entered their fifth day and are spreading to Paris, Marseille, and Strasbourg, with riots and arson breaking out across the cities.
Footage from the scene shows large numbers of police trying to disperse masses of young people who have taken over Paris streets.
President Donald Trump weighed in on the unrest: “What’s happening in France is nothing less than out of control mass immigration. This isn’t about schools, this is about Islam trying to take over a once great country!”
