Israel is still trying to understand exactly what happened during those dramatic moments in the cockpit of the Fly Dubai flight, but one thing is already clear—we’ve moved from a security incident to a political one, as Channel 12’s security analyst Amos Malka reported. And then, when it became clear the incident was security-related after all, we went back to focusing on substance.

Israel today is divided into two camps—responsible security leadership and cynical, contemptible political leadership. While the Prime Minister was busy managing a large-scale incident that could have ended, God forbid, in a second 9/11 over Tel Aviv, there are irresponsible opposition members whose only motivation is staying on the radar. As far as they’re concerned, the discourse should continue to serve them—not, heaven forbid, the safety of 174 passengers whose only wish was to return home safely and leave the nightmare in the skies behind them.
They’ll run to the studios and try to claim it’s nonsense, “never happened”—and look, another near-disaster on Netanyahu’s watch. You have not a shred of responsibility for our country, not a shred of decency toward our leadership. Lucky, so lucky we have divine providence—because if what happened today isn’t a miracle from heaven, I don’t know what is.
