Update: The victim of the shooting has died of his injuries.
The IDF said Sunday that large forces launched a massive manhunt for a terrorist who carried out a drive-by shooting near a spring close to Neveh Tzuf in the Binyamin region. The shooting targeted civilians at the site, and security forces were rushed to the scene to provide operational and medical response.
According to the official report, the gunman exited his vehicle armed after carrying out the shooting and fled on foot. Following the serious incident, large IDF forces from the Binyamin Regional Brigade, including fighters from the elite Duvdevan unit, additional reinforcement companies, and Israel Police, began extensive searches across Judea and Samaria to capture the attacker.
As part of operational efforts to apprehend the gunman, roadblocks were set up throughout the Binyamin sector. Forces are searching the area on foot and using advanced drones to track him. At the same time, Israeli Air Force aircraft were scrambled to assist from the air in the extensive manhunt aimed at closing in on the gunman and bringing about his capture.
