A resident of the ‘Palestinian’ village of Rafat was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of incitement on social media. According to the Judea and Samaria District Police, posts monitored over recent months show he praised terrorists, called for confrontation with Israel and self-sacrifice, and expressed solidarity with Saddam Hussein.
1+In one post, the suspect praised the terrorists who carried out the arson attack at Gilad Farm, naming them as those who “will merit martyrdom and paradise at the highest levels.” In another post, he called for armed struggle and confrontation with Israel and to “put an end to Zionism.”
The suspect was transferred for interrogation at the Binyamin Police Station and was remanded in custody at the end of questioning. Police said his investigation is ongoing.
In a separate case, interrogation concluded for a ‘Palestinian’ man in his 20s, a resident of the village of Bardala, and an indictment was filed against him for incitement and support of a hostile organization. According to the facts in the indictment, the defendant expressed support for the Hamas terror organization and support for its operations in his posts.
1+Among other things, the defendant posted a video over the past month composed of two segments. The first shows a hit and explosion on an IDF tank in the Gaza Strip, with the Hamas emblem embedded on the video. The second segment incorporated footage from the October 7 terror attack, showing terrorists climbing onto a burning tank, seizing a wounded soldier who was abducted from it, dragging him, and holding him.
