Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced over the weekend that Ukrainian forces attacked a vessel carrying military cargo linked to Iran in the Caspian Sea. A Russian ship operating in the area was also hit during the operation, Reuters reported.
Iran claimed the Ukrainian strike killed one person and wounded another on board. Tehran described the incident as an act of aggression and said it would defend its security and national interests, accusing Ukraine of trying to expand the Russia-Ukraine war.
