Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to leave for the United States Saturday night to attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, who fought tirelessly for Israel throughout his life, Channel 14’s Sriah Harush reported.
During his stay in the American capital, which is expected to last until Wednesday, Netanyahu is also expected to meet with President Donald Trump. The two are expected to discuss the war with Iran and recent developments in the Middle East.
In Netanyahu’s farewell remarks to the pro-Israel senator, he described with pain: n our recent meeting, I said, “Lindsey is a great friend of Israel and a cherished friend of mine. We have no better friend than Lindsey.”
The prime minister emphasized the senator’s worldview: “Lindsey understood that the security of Israel and America are inseparable. He devoted his life to defending America, strengthening our alliance and standing up for the free world.”
