A severe physical assault occurred on Wednesday evening near the community of Carmel in the southern Mount Hebron region, after a group of anarchists and radical pro-‘Palestinian’ activists targeted Jewish residents, blocked their car, assaulted them, and attempted to handle an individual’s personal firearm. Andrey Khrzhanovsky led the confrontation, an activist who frequently operates across the sector. According to eyewitness accounts, the group converged on the residents’ vehicle, deliberately obstructed its passage along the access route, and began aggressively thrusting cameras into the faces of the passengers.

The encounter quickly deteriorated from verbal intimidation into direct physical battery. Activists began landing punches and kicks on the occupants of the blocked vehicle. In the middle of the melee, members of the group went so far as to touch the personal sidearm carried by one of the residents—an extreme escalation that heightened fears of a lethal outcome. As a result of the strikes, one resident suffered facial contusions from a direct punch to the face. Medical personnel dispatched to the scene administered on-site first aid to stabilize the victim and dress the wounds.
Community representatives in the Hebron Hills stated that Wednesday’s assault marks another escalation in organized provocations by activist groups in the southern Mount Hebron sector. Local officials emphasized that these encounters have evolved into routine harassment, vehicular blockades, and physical intimidation targeting residents and agricultural workers.
