The Or family updated the public on her condition and asked for prayers. “Thank God, Emuna doesn’t need surgery and her life is not in danger,” they said. “She has fractures in her spine, severe bruising, and pain. She’s hospitalized at Linson Hospital surrounded by family.” The public is asked to pray for the recovery of Emuna bat Ditza Tertza.

Emuna got married while her older brother, Avinatan Or, was still held captive by Hamas. On what should have been the happiest day of her life, alongside the joy stood hope for her brother’s return. “We wanted to show that there is real good in the world and it’s simple and alive and revealed, and through this abundant blessing will flow in all worlds and we’ll see Avinatan happy and dancing with us at the wedding very soon,” she said at the time.

Arab terror in Judea and Samaria continues and poses a daily threat. Just today an Israeli woman was lightly injured with serious facial trauma from stone-throwing at a vehicle near the village of Asawiya, south of Rechelim. These incidents add to the routine threats of stone-throwing, firebomb attacks, and shooting attacks on roads in the area.

Avinatan Or was kidnapped on October 7, 2023 from the Nova music festival, along with his then-girlfriend Noa Argamani, and was held captive by Hamas for 738 days. During his captivity he was held alone in harsh conditions, almost completely cut off from what was happening in Israel and the world. After more than two years in captivity, he returned to Israel as part of the hostage deal in October 2025 and reunited with his family.

After his return, Or revealed details about his escape attempts, and later shared that for months he dug an escape tunnel with his bare hands that stretched more than ten meters. According to him, throughout the period he fought to maintain composure and a sense of responsibility for his fate. Last September he shared that he decided to reveal his experiences from captivity in a new book, in which he seeks to bring the story of survival and the fight for his life.
