The Jewish National Fund (JNF-KKL) board approved an additional ₪5 million (~$1.6M) in funding for the Nanshi Medical Center in Binyamin, bringing the fund’s total investment in the project to ₪15 million (~$4.8M). The center, the first of its kind in Judea and Samaria, is expected to open in 2027.

The new medical center, being built in partnership with the Israel Echad Foundation, is designed to address a critical need for accessible healthcare in the area. Currently, more than 80,000 residents of the Binyamin Regional Council and thousands more from surrounding areas must travel long distances to receive medical care. The new center will allow them to get treatment close to home, including initial trauma care, first aid services, and specialist clinics.
The center is being advanced by the Binyamin Regional Council and the Mateh Binyamin Development Fund. After completing the building’s skeleton, the project is now moving toward completion and operation. The JNF’s investment represents a significant component in advancing the project and expanding essential medical services to area residents, alongside additional resources that have been raised.

Governor of Binyamin and Yesha Council chairman Israel Gantz welcomed the decision, saying: “We are working to change the medical reality in Binyamin. For years, residents have had to travel long distances to receive medical services, and now we are moving toward opening the first medical center of its kind in Judea and Samaria. This is a significant development for Binyamin residents and the surrounding area. I want to thank the JNF for this important partnership.”
JNF chairman Eyal Ostrinsky added: “Developing the land and strengthening the resilience of the communities living in it are an integral part of the Zionist mission of the Jewish National Fund. The investment in establishing the medical center in Binyamin is an investment in vital infrastructure that will improve access to medical services and contribute to the quality of life for area residents. The JNF will continue to act out of national responsibility to advance significant projects.”
