Ilhan Omar, a Minnesota congresswoman considered one of the most hostile lawmakers toward Israel, is suspected of falsifying her entry documents to the United States. Following the allegations, authorities raided the congresswoman’s home today (Monday) as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, the Associated Press reported.

The congresswoman responded to the raid for the first time: “I’m okay. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political opponents and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has made me a target with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his political intimidation campaign.”
Omar was born in Somalia and is one of the first two Muslim women ever elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Since 2019, the congresswoman has made antisemitic statements on the House floor—remarks that drew widespread condemnation but didn’t remove her from office.
