Photojournalist Ziv Koren will present in London tomorrow (Tuesday) Israel’s story over the past three years through his harrowing documentation of the October 7 massacre, the war that followed, and Israeli society’s struggle to recover and rebuild. The initiative, led by the World Zionist Organization in partnership with Israel’s embassy in Britain, will include two separate events: one for the British public and another for the Jewish community.

Both events will feature photo exhibitions, field documentation, and lectures in which Koren will reveal the human stories behind the images. The first gathering will target a non-Jewish audience and include members of Parliament, Lords, media figures, and heads of British organizations. The second event, taking place in the evening, will be dedicated to the Jewish community and will include rabbis, synagogue representatives, Jewish institutions and organizations, and community members.

Matan Bar Noy, the World Zionist Organization’s representative to Britain and Europe, said: “Three years after the October 7 massacre, the battle for truth and memory continues. Particularly in Britain, where the Jewish community is dealing with alarming displays of antisemitism, it’s important to make Israel’s voice heard clearly. Ziv Koren’s photographs are irrefutable photographic testimony. Through them, we seek to bring the Israeli story to the British public firsthand.”
An independent review commissioned by the British government recently revealed a troubling picture regarding antisemitism in the country’s educational institutions. David Bell, who heads the review, told the BBC that Jewish school principals devote a significant portion of their time to security matters, often at the expense of educational issues. According to him, “Sometimes education gets pushed into second place” behind the need to protect students and staff.
