The new accord will enable the Albanian government to engage directly in contracts with leading Israeli firms across a broad spectrum of industries. The move is expected to significantly accelerate commercial ties and unlock commercial opportunities for Israeli enterprises in key sectors, including cybersecurity, high-tech innovation, water management technologies, energy, healthcare, and advanced agritech.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Sa’ar is slated to hold a series of diplomatic meetings with Albania’s top leadership. Among others, he will meet with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi, and Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha to deliberate on enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Bilateral ties between Israel and Albania are considered exceptionally close. Since the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, Albania has consistently stood in solidarity with Israel, swiftly condemning the massacre and taking the significant step of formally designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
