Biden Aide's Testimony Dismantles Anti-Netanyahu Campaign

Three years after October 7, Brett McGurk's testimony reveals how Hamas manipulated mediators—contradicting years of Israeli media and political attacks blaming Netanyahu for hostage deal failures.

Three years after the October 7 massacre, testimony from Biden adviser Brett McGurk exposes what Israel tried to obscure for two years. While politicians and commentators pointed accusing fingers at Netanyahu and the right-wing government over the hostage issue, the senior American official describes how Hamas deceived the mediators. Now it’s time to ask: who really abandoned the hostages?

As we mark three years since the October 7 massacre, we’re getting a rare glimpse into what happened in the closed rooms of the U.S. administration.

Brett McGurk, Biden’s adviser at the time and someone deeply involved in negotiations with Hamas, reveals what really happened behind the scenes—and in the process blows up one media spin after another from the Israeli press and loudmouth politicians who now turn out to be not exactly credible either.

For example—Eisenkot has been giving interviews in recent days about the hostage deal, naturally blaming Netanyahu, Smotrich, and Ben-Gvir. And here’s Biden’s adviser saying the obvious: Hamas played everyone.

The person who was supposed to mediate reality on Channel 12, Amnon Abramovitch, ran a malicious, cruel campaign—and above all, one that inhumanely harms the State of Israel during wartime. And then again—if it wasn’t clear—Biden’s adviser says it plainly.

Look at these irresponsible people. For two years they blamed Netanyahu, the right-wing government, the State of Israel—from within, from among us—and in the end a senior White House official comes along and bursts this malicious balloon. All of this happened on the backs of the families, on the backs of the hostages, and on the backs of the Israeli public.

So ask them now: who really abandoned the hostages—those who pressured Hamas, or those who pressured Israel?
