Israel’s National Security Council issued a special alert Tuesday warning of heightened risk of terror attacks against Israelis and Jews worldwide ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre, alongside violent protests and unrest. According to the council, terror organizations—led by Iran and its proxies, Hamas, and global jihadist groups—view this date as a significant milestone for carrying out hostile operations.

The council is urging Israelis abroad or planning to travel to exercise heightened vigilance and avoid posting travel plans or locations on social media in advance. It also stressed that Israelis should refrain from posting content on social media indicating service in Israel’s security forces. Additionally, the council is calling on travelers to stay away from protests and gatherings, and at destinations classified as Level 3 threat, to minimize speaking Hebrew in crowded public spaces.
The council emphasized that Israelis should avoid traveling entirely to destinations under Level 4 travel warnings, including Jordan, Qatar, Somaliland, and Egypt, including the Sinai Peninsula.
The National Security Council stresses that in case of emergency, travelers should first contact local security forces in their host country, then reach the council’s travel warning hotline, which operates 24/7 in emergency mode at (+972)02-6667444.
