The Saudi-led coalition announced Monday it has launched a major military operation called “Dawn of Yemen” against the Houthi rebels. The massive assault deployed 100 warplanes that struck 324 high-value targets belonging to the rebel organization across the country.
According to the coalition’s statement, the large-scale strikes are designed in part to ensure full air defense and control over the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait. Coalition officials said the operations are continuing at this hour in a focused manner, targeting mobile Houthi terrorist targets on the ground.
Alongside the massive airstrikes, the Saudi coalition emphasized that its air forces are providing continuous, around-the-clock support to legitimate Yemeni forces operating on the ground. The extensive military activity continues with the goal of neutralizing Houthi rebel threats and restoring stability to the region.
