Jonathan Mark Susor, a Georgia resident with a previous criminal record, was arrested several days ago after sending horrifying death threats across social media platforms targeting United States Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and his immediate family.

According to the federal criminal complaint, Susor demanded that the Defense Secretary commit an appalling atrocity: enter a Chabad synagogue armed with a rifle and a head-mounted GoPro camera to carry out a mass shooting against Jewish worshipers.
Susor warned that if Hegseth failed to execute the attack, his “entire family would be murdered.” Federal investigators noted that the explicit demand to film the attack using a GoPro directly echoes “documentation methods deployed during the October 7 Hamas massacre.”An investigation by the FBI’s Domestic Terrorism squad revealed that the suspect did not stop at sending explicit threats to Hegseth himself, but also published photos of the Defense Secretary’s young children across social media as part of an aggressive, targeted intimidation and harassment campaign.

Local law enforcement, working with federal agents, subsequently apprehended Susor in Alpharetta, Georgia.
He was formally booked and charged with a series of severe offenses, including transmitting interstate threatening communications, making terroristic threats, stalking, and disseminating terror-related materials.
According to police records, Susor has an extensive history of violent offenses and prior intimidation cases in recent years.
