After years away from the spotlight, tonight (Sunday) we’re revealing footage you don’t see every day. For two nights we got a rare glimpse into one of the most secretive and lethal units operating across all combat zones during the war, but now focused on Judea and Samaria—the Duvdevan Unit.
The elite unit’s fighters headed out for another operational mission in a hostile village, and we’re with them, embedded, from the first moment through entry to the target and arrest of the terrorist—just hours before he was set to carry out an attack.
The first night begins in the Ramallah area. The intelligence is sharp, clear, and urgent—a Hamas operative is planning to execute an attack in the immediate timeframe. Quick mobilization, gear up, and rapidly to the target. The fighters board the vehicles after dozens of drills and head into the dark streets, passing through narrow alleys, all to reach the terrorist.
This isn’t a drill conducted at a base in central Israel—this is the real thing. The drive is quiet, lights off, and then, within seconds, everything erupts. The fighters close in on the house, enter, and the wanted man is captured.
In the past month alone, the unit has thwarted a double-digit number of attacks at the last moments. And after that short night, we returned to them again. But this time for twelve straight hours, in which we became almost part of the force—all in a single night.
