Gabbain served in Hamas’s military wing and stood as a prioritized target for the defense establishment due to his extensive involvement in hostile terror activity against Israel throughout the war.
According to verified intelligence compiled by the Shin Bet and the IDF, the terrorist was directly involved throughout the hostilities in holding numerous Israeli hostages captive inside the terror organization’s network. Among the nine abductees directly held under his guard were Ziv Berman, Eitan Mor, Liri Albag, Agam Berger, Matan Angrest, Gali Berman, Omri Miran, Keith Siegel, and Alon Ohel.
