Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Sunday), on the eve of Yom Kippur, that he has instructed the IDF and Shin Bet to operate with reinforced forces in Judea and Samaria following the deadly terror attack in Binyamin. According to his statement, forces were ordered to impose closures, carry out offensive operations and arrests, and act to demolish the terrorist’s home immediately.
Netanyahu said security forces are conducting a determined pursuit of the terrorist who carried out the attack. “No terrorist is immune, not even those who helped them—we’ll settle accounts with everyone: in Gaza, in Lebanon, and in Judea and Samaria,” the prime minister declared. At the same time, he noted that security forces killed a terrorist who attempted to carry out another attack in Samaria.
At the end of his statement, the prime minister sent condolences to the victim’s family: “On behalf of all the citizens of Israel, my wife and I send heartfelt condolences to the family of the victim of the attack and share in their heavy grief.”
President Isaac Herzog also addressed the severe attack, saying: “The murderous terror attack in Binyamin at the opening of Yom Kippur, as the people of Israel gather for the holy day. I bow my head in memory of the victim, share deeply in the grief of his family and community, and pray for the recovery of the wounded. Even on this holy eve, we say clearly: terror will not break us and will not shake our spirit. Against it we will stand together—united, determined, and full of faith. May you be sealed for good.”
