Israeli forces operating in the Khan Yunis area on Thursday eliminated Muhammad Suleiman Bayuk, a terrorist within the military wing of the Hamas terror organization who took part in the cross-border invasion of Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed. According to the military statement, throughout the war and especially over recent weeks, Bayuk actively planted improvised explosive devices (IEDs) across the Gaza Strip aimed at striking Israeli combat troops.
Military authorities further revealed that Bayuk systematically advanced terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, worked to upgrade the combat readiness of Hamas terrorists, and spearheaded efforts to rehabilitate the terror group’s operational infrastructure in deliberate violation of the ceasefire. The IDF emphasized that the targeted strike was carried out to remove an immediate operational threat decisively.
IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed throughout the sector under operational frameworks and will continue to operate resolutely to neutralize any emerging threats.
