Miriam Dardik, a resident of the outpost community of Kfar Tarfon in Binyamin and wife of administrative detainee Tal Yinon Dardik, appealed directly on Thursday to the heads of the Yesha Council, demanding they take an active stand against the administrative orders issued against her husband, who has been battling the state’s non-judicial sanctions for months: “We are the only public in the State of Israel against whom an unacceptable use of these tools is directed.”
1+In her letter, Dardik argued that the routine use of administrative detention and restrictive orders against residents of Judea and Samaria amounts to systemic civil discrimination. She warned that public silence regarding violations of settlers’ basic legal rights will ultimately legitimize broader state abuse. She specifically called on local council heads—including Binyamin Regional Council leadership—to mobilize their political clout to eliminate the unequal legal treatment applied to residents of the region.
Dardik implored regional leaders to join the campaign: “For three months, my husband, Tal Yinon Dardik, has been struggling against administrative orders—orders that are immoral, undemocratic, anti-Jewish, and inhumane. These are orders issued exclusively against your own residents, the people of Judea and Samaria. My husband has lived in the Binyamin Regional Council since birth, grew up and built his life within its communities, as have I for more than twenty years. I am confident that you, the leaders of the Yesha Council, share our pain over the persecution of the pioneering farmsteads and rural settlement communities who are targeted with anti-democratic administrative edicts.”

My husband embarked on this struggle not merely for his own sake, but for the entire settler movement. I call upon you: raise your voices, utilize every resource at your command, and bring an end to this blatant discrimination against us—against the residents of Judea and Samaria as a whole, and our family in particular.”
