The IDF eliminated Sharif Shadi Ibrahim Labad, a terrorist belonging to the elite Nukhba unit in Hamas’s military wing who actively raided the Erez Crossing during the October 7 massacre, in a targeted strike in the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
The IDF Spokesperson confirmed that in a separate precision strike conducted earlier this week in northern Gaza, Israeli forces eliminated Youssef Saad Aldin Rashed Zaim, a Nukhba terrorist commander in Hamas’s armed wing. According to military authorities, both terrorists had recently been advancing imminent attacks targeting IDF personnel and Israeli civilians, while actively working to rehabilitate the terror organization’s operational capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The IDF stressed that the terrorists were eliminated to remove the immediate threat they posed.
The military noted that before the strikes, it implemented comprehensive mitigation measures to minimize civilian casualties, including deploying precision-guided munitions and conducting continuous aerial surveillance. IDF troops under Southern Command remain strategically deployed in the sector in accordance with the agreement and will continue taking decisive action to remove any immediate threat.
