Following reports about statements made during a meeting with Yesh Atid party chair Gadi Eisenkot, a recording has now surfaced in which Tuba-Zangariyye council head Muayad al-Hayb describes the commitments he says he heard regarding Ra’am’s inclusion in the government.

In the recording from an interview he gave to Radio Nas, al-Hayb claimed that Eisenkot made clear during the meeting that Ra’am would be an integral part of the coalition and the next government.
“Eisenkot announced that Ra’am will be an integral part of the coalition and the government,” al-Hayb is heard saying. According to him, contacts are already underway between Eisenkot and Ra’am to enable the party’s entry into the government.
The council head added that Eisenkot even pledged that if tasked with forming the government, he would work to include the party: “He will extend a hand to Ra’am so it can join the government.”
