Troops from the 55th Brigade Combat Team, operating under the command of the 91st Division, located and demolished a Hezbollah staging site in southern Lebanon containing an underground tunnel shaft and launch systems primed for operational use. Inside the launchers, forces uncovered 32 rockets aimed directly toward Israeli territory.
The IDF stated that the compound was discovered during targeted sweeps conducted within the security sector in southern Lebanon. Military officials noted that the rockets had been positioned at the site before the implementation of the ceasefire agreement. The demolition was executed as part of ongoing operational efforts to remove emerging threats facing Israel systematically.
The military emphasized that it will not permit Hezbollah to jeopardize Israeli civilians or IDF personnel, reiterating that forces will persist in neutralizing tactical hazards while remaining committed to the parameters of the ceasefire framework.
