Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video today (Monday) featuring remarks by a Lebanese correspondent from MTV, who said footage released by the IDF showing the destruction of the ridge signaled the end of Hezbollah’s terror project on the mountain.
Netanyahu then paused the clip and explained why he believed the Lebanese correspondent had reached that conclusion. “He said this because we achieved another huge victory over Hezbollah. We destroyed its major terror stronghold on the Beaufort Ridge and the Ali Taher Ridge,” Netanyahu said.
The prime minister added: “Our policy is clear: We will continue destroying terror infrastructure in the security zone in Lebanon. We will continue removing every threat to the State of Israel. And from here, I say to our enemies: ‘If you haven’t learned the lesson by now and decide to attack us again—you will suffer even heavier blows. There is still work to be completed, and with God’s help, we will complete it.’”
