Israeli security forces engaged a group of roughly 20 Arab suspects near the Tarqumiyah Crossing on Monday night after two approaching vehicles sparked an immediate security threat. Sensing mortal danger, soldiers initiated standard suspect-arrest procedures and opened fire, wounding one suspect in the shoulder, while one of the vehicles intentionally rammed an IDF vehicle before the incident was brought under control with no Israeli casualties reported.

An unusual security incident unfolded a short time ago near the Tarqumiyah Crossing after two vehicles carrying approximately 20 Arab suspects rapidly approached the military position.

Soldiers operating at the scene, assessing an immediate and tangible threat to their lives, initiated suspect-arrest protocols and discharged live fire toward the approaching group, wounding one suspect in the shoulder. During the escalation, one of the suspects’ vehicles deliberately rammed an IDF military vehicle, causing visible damage to the army truck.

No Israeli casualties were reported in the encounter. Security forces remain deployed in the sector, managing the aftermath and securing the crossing perimeter.
