The eviction of the UNRWA compound in Kafr ‘Aqab in northern Jerusalem has officially commenced in accordance with directives issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and following legislation passed by the Knesset, the Prime Minister’s Office announced.

Netanyahu stated that the State of Israel will not permit UNRWA to maintain operations within sovereign Israeli territory, citing the direct involvement of agency personnel in terrorism and the October 7 massacre. “The State of Israel will not allow an organization whose employees were involved in terrorism and the October 7 massacre to operate within its territory, and will act against it using every available tool,” the Prime Minister declared.
