Israeli forces targeted and struck a terrorist from Hamas’s elite Nukhba terror unit on Sunday in the Khan Yunis area of the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed. The targeted operative had personally invaded Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.
Throughout the war, the senior terrorist actively advanced tactical terror plots and ambushes targeting IDF combat troops operating inside the Gaza Strip. Military officials noted that his continued activities presented an immediate, concrete threat to forces stationed across the operational zone. The IDF underscored its operational posture in the sector: “IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed throughout the region in accordance with existing operational frameworks and will continue to act decisively to neutralize any immediate threat to our troops.”
